    XB1 TV Tuner €15
    XB1 Media Remote €10
    In GameStop.

Got the media remote for 5 euro few weeks back. Its Gamestop brand but does the job.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,468 ✭✭✭marcbrophy

I got the media remote earlier for 10 bucks and it was the official xbox brand :)

Parkway, Limerick had no TV tuners, but I didn't really need one anyway, kinda wanted it as a backup, that I'd only ever use if the cable went out!
Them not having any left saved me 15 bucks :D

Thank you, I shall take a look :)

Max, have you selected 4tb drive from the dropdown on that page?

When I do, it gives me a price of €129.99, not the €159.99 that's listed.

I tried to go further to the checkout, but I don't have an account!
    If it's a 4tb drive for ~€130, that's a good bargain :D

Seagate have a 4tb portable for €130 on Amazon:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B017KE8OG0/ref=twister_B01DLUZX2K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Mine is out for delivery as we speak :)

Nice, they must be getting cheaper across the board so :)

I still have 30% or so free on the 2.5tb space in my xbox, but my next upgrade when needed will be to 4tb :D

Don't think its off the games, but it is on the cds, dvds and bds.

In HMV henry Street it is now 70% off games, though the selection is limited.

DVDs and Blu-Rays are now 5 for 10 euro (excluding boxsets).

Had a look yesterday in Henry street, games-wise there is very very little of interest left tbh. The 70% seems to be off the original RRP, a lot of stuff still overpriced :pac:

70% off games is still available, although stock is dwindling. I got lego dimensions starter kit for €39, rise of the tomb raider, metal gear for €21 and Destiny for 7.50 in the limerick store.

Argos have deus ex mankind divided at just over €50

Actually they have a few sales on,
    Lego Star Wars €50
    Overwatch €47
Mirrors edge catalyst €40 (that's on with deals with gold atm, not here how much though)
    Dying light the following €40

And a good few more I just thought they were worth mentioning

Halo MCC only €6.66 bargin of the year as that's a lot of game for your money about €1.65 a game :O

5 games for 10 euro in HMV - although selection is fairly ****e, you might be lucky!

(it's effectively 5 for 10 euro on all stock, but you can't mix and match. so 5 t-shirts, 5 cds, etc)

Yeah in there earlier, only good if you want 5 copies of Fifa 15.

Xbox One Media Remote Control - €1.99 in GameStop.

Not sure if it's all stores but I grabbed one today in Portlaoise. It's an excellent little thing and it works a charm. Also controls TV when the Kinect is plugged in.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,309 ✭✭✭✭wotzgoingon

Such a good deal you decided to post it twice, 23 minutes later.

I think Seagate own Maxtor, so most likely the same HDD.

Word of warning, it's 3.62Tb. I'm fully aware of rounding when it comes to HDD sizes but that's a new low. This is a 3.6Tb drive, why can't they just call it that? Soon we'll be getting 3.51Tb out of 4Tb.

I've just under 2TB left from my 4TB hdd 500GB Xbox combo.

Don't know if Seagate own Maxtor now, but Maxtor hdds used to have a bad rep for destroying themselves. There was no constraint on the read head from hitting the spindle leaving them susceptible to a malicious attack telling the read head to constantly return to centre causing the platters to shatter.

Should be fine in for an Xbox though.

For anyone in Dublin they'd none in Henry St. but I grabbed one from Liffey St. and they said they'd a few left. It's the Gamestop branded one, and is reduced from €20 to €2. Works great.

According to the Tesco thread in Bargain alerts all consoles and games are 50% off in all Tesco (that sell them).

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,202 ✭✭✭maximoose

Que the usual rush of resellers to tesco when they see a bargain on boards bargains. I'd say anything really good is gone by now.

I could just imagine my partners reaction if I went for nappies and arrived back with a cheap console aswell , could always say the little one will grow into it :D

Yeah best avoid tesco today I think.
