Black Flag is the best AC game by a considerable distance in my book.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,133 ✭✭✭GottaGetGatt

Yeah best one since AC2 imo. The Chickatees will have to wait till next week.

I thought number of pints was the official opportunity cost measurement in Ireland? The Americans still use cups of coffee, have we moved on to sweets, crisps, and soft drinks? :D

Some savage deals on CEX as always. Picked up Max payne 3/ Fable 1 and 2 all on the 360 for about 20 euro. No a bad way to spend a weekend :)

If you've never played either I'd just get BF4.

Hardline is good and well worth a €5 but the multiplayer is quite similar to BF4 and if you've not played either, BF4 will keep you going for a long time.

Another thing to consider is all DLC for Hardline and BF4 is included in EA access. You wont get that with the copies in CEX.

Nothing new, cdkeys do a "deal of the day" where items will drop a couple of Euro for the day. Ea access does come up on it every couple of weeks.

    Ridiculous

Obviously not being serious, of course it is good value for less than a quid.

That doesn't stop the game being terrible though.

Ah, it's not terrible. Perhaps when it was first released, with all the bugs, fair enough, but they've patched out most of them now.

It's still a pretty uninteresting game, mind you, a game whose most notable feature is it's total failure to build on any of the high points of the previous game.

    Ubisoft AC Unity planning meeting:

Junior Dev: "Hey, AC4 got some really good reviews, most people loved that we took a chance and went all in on the sailing. In fact, most reviews say the sailing is the best part of the game, so how do we incorporate that into our next gen game?"

Senior Dev: "Remove all traces of sailing. Brilliant idea!"

    Junior Dev: "Uhhhhhh....."

Senior Dev: "In fact, why don't we go ahead and remove most of the fun while we're at it, wouldn't want people to enjoy themselves too much, now."

    Still though, worth a euro.

    I doubt it

    It's called hyperbole.

I thought it was an awful game. The best bits about AC games are the story and the combat systems. Unity was very, very bad on both these fronts in my opinion.

    I doubt it

I am serious, the game is the worst AC to date, can't stand it, I'd rather spend the 99c on a bottle of water.

Didn't care about the sailing being removed, it was the removal of the counter system that turned it to sh IMO.

Add my 2 cents, hated the change up to the climbing mechanism, adding the b button to descent was stupid it was like trying to reinvent the wheel

Just picked it up in Mahon Point for €18. Reserved at €44.

Is Borderlands Handsome Collection any good? €15 in Argos.

Borderlands Handsome Collection is excellent. You get two games plus all the DLC.
