www.buygamecredit.com have put up their transaction fees five fold when buying top ups with phone credit. The transaction fee was €0.49 and is now €2.49 per transaction.

    Capitalising on Valentine's Day?

I got credit yesterday at the old rate.

I think when HMV started doing this the fee was that high. Might have just lowered it to get the word out or the networks might have upped their cost as fewer are using their credit on novel things like phone calls and texts.

    That's some hike in fairness

I see that they've added a €30 Xbox topup now

You can buy up to €50, but any value over €25 can't be purchased with phone credit.

Well that explains why I am being asked for my credit card details

anyone come across any decent Xbox S deals?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,560 ✭✭✭Slutmonkey57b

Gamestop are running a deal on 500gb S with Rocket League, Forza Horizon 3 and a gamestop brand controller for €230. Trade-in value of the extras is about €30 so €200. You'll need to order online though as the nearest shop to dublin with stock was in Naas when I asked.

Gamestop are doing a good boost on traded games at the present.

I bought COD MW Remastered for 18.99 in Argos and its boosted to 50 credit immediately on trade in with Gamestop off any game on their list, which is a good return.

I put mine on Red Dead Redemption 2 so the game is costing me an additional 20 so €38.99 for a pre order isnt bad!

You can get monster hunter and other games too but the boost is limited time wise and staff do not know when it will end (usual crap)

anyway, go and turn your 18.99 into 50 towards something decent :D

Apologies about the list but tilt your head as I cant spoon fee ya :D

They are also giving boosted credit equivalent on traded games in cash. This is to compete with CEX values....apparently.

Cheers for that. I cant post links here as its restricted.

Lads in the shop said the online list wont always reflect their staff list which will be more up to date.

Oh no doubt but handy to see what is available.

I might buy COD tomorrow and trade in against Bayonetta on Switch for €39 total.

Good deal, the Hot Wheels dlc is €20 by itself and a lot of fun.

I have to say lads the guys in gamestop in limerick city centre are great to deal with I think it was cj I was dealing with yesterday and I've done so in the past and he is a pleasure to deal with.
Some of the staff in the limerick stores are great, much better than the ones I've sealed with in Galway or Dublin

Game is definitely worth that price, i had lot of fun with it.

Quick caveat that there is a Winter Olympics expansion/DLC but it's not included in the base game.

    Plenty of value there anyway.

I got this yesterday and happy to give away the code for Unity that came with it if it can be used by another? Just PM me - I already have it and it's not worth the paper the code is written on so not gonna sell it :P
