Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Will somebody please tell TV stations that the Dutch don't do in house fighting any more and haven't played total football since the 70s.

If only both teams could lose.. hmm.

Messi winner and to be awarded MOTM, Robben booked for diving.

Robben player of the tournament so far. Can see him sending the Dutch to the final.

De Jong back is a huge boost for them.

Aguero could have a big impact from the bench if the game is a stalemate

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Looking at the line ups think the Dutch have the better 11.

Messi will have to make the difference if Argentina are to win.

Aguero could have a big impact from the bench if the game is a stalemate

Or he could come on for 5 minutes and cost them a substitution. I really think he should be given a decent rest, the nature of his injuries don't seem to be tying in with his recovery periods.

Heart says Argentina. Head says more likely Holland. Really hope not though. Want Argentina to win the trophy, mainly for Messi.

If you keep saying it it will come true eventually.

Would we be expecting Wijnaldun to try and stick to Messi all night while De Jong tries to contain the rest of the midfield?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,399 ✭✭✭McGrath5

Gonna go for Holland here, just think they have that little bit extra than Argentina.

Switching around our TV package at the moment so I'm forced to listen to Andy Townsend "in and around my sitting room". Christ.

I think he's better than that but just not quite as good as Gary Breen.

The first line of the Dutch anthem is

    "I am of German blood".

They dont like it when you tell them that.

I feel Messi will produce something special tonight.
    He reminds me of Maradonna.

That is littered with double entendres, but I won't go there.
