Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pretty sure Spurs are Arsenal's biggest rivals.

Would you rather he moved for money? Would that make you love him?

It could be argued that United have been a bigger rival for the last 10 years but you're only nitpicking now.

    I wouldn't rather anything, I'm just calling a spade a spade.

I know its not their fault here but I havent enjoyed one Argentine game this world cup.

Did the same thing a little while ago. Deserved booking.

I never understand peoples gripe with keepers punching the ball, very rarely does it end badly and is a safer option than trying to catch a ball in a crowded area.

Is Van Gaal a burns victim? Looks repulsive

    Cop on.

How is this referee getting top games? Consistently one of the worst in Europe.

Oh my heart skipped a beat, Messi majestically in his movement and speed of thought.

They're too disjointed to play good football imo.

Wish Di Maria was playing, a joy to watch when he runs at players.

Messi acting ..... No foul and certainly no yellow

Demichelis should have been first booking before that.

What the fock's that got to do with the price a spuds?!
Seem as we're watching football here, how about you judge the man on his career success and not on his looks for focks sake.

    Super ball from Messi.

Not the way it works. Germany were hardly great before last night either.

The Wild Bunch banned for two yellows. Let's stop quoting it

Holland in this world cup always seem to come out and play in the second half, kinda like a recurring theme. Heres hoping

Robben hasn't had a kick and RVP has been very poor. Argentina the better side and getting a good bit of joy down The Netherlands left. Interesting first half though!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,588 ✭✭✭daithijjj

Van Gaal should bring Robben on at HT.

Poor half entertainment wise. Netherlands just sitting back. Argentina better side by far but not looking too threatening.

Bruno Mars Indie gets a face of yellow as he is shown the minor offense card for multi-felony play. #WorldCup #catchagrenade

    You serious?

Six years where he struggled badly on and off with injuries, but the club stood by him throughout, followed by 1 good season and one brilliant season and then he refused to sign a new contract so he could force a move to Arsenal's biggest rivals in search of trophies.

Yes, I'm serious. How many years did you want him to stay? You'd think he left straight off the treatment table the way you're going on.

And going to another club to win trophies -- what do you think football is about?

De Jong is lost whenever Argentina press. The Dutch need to change it up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Robben should be fresh for the second half....might break the sound barrier in the 89th minute.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Argentina wasteful with the possession in Hollands half so far. Holland won't mind the game going that way really, plays into their tactics.

Van Gaal to send on Krul.

Argentina looking alright , Higuain working his socks off and they look solid enough at the back with Mascherano doing a good job in the middle .

Holland have been muck especially Robben and Van Perise... Argentian are dominating but not making it count at all... Lavezzi looking lively.... Di Maria is badly missed though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Looking at the bench I don't see how Holland can do anything better

They might win playing like this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

what the fúck are the Dutch doing?

they have no intention of playing positive football.

Robben is normally their go-to guy for instance, but he hasn't had a kick.

they don't need to do this shíte.

Robben six touches in 1st half!!!!!

I don't think they're as good as the game against Spain suggested. A tight defence can shut them out.

Good move taking Indi off. Was a likely candidate for a red.

    Janmaat on for Martins Indi.

Somebody please tell Giles that Sneijder isn't the player he once was

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

    Interesting change

Would have taken Martins Indi off for Verhaegh and put Claise on for Kuyt to get another player in the centre to help De Jong

Despite being a Dutch fan, I'm very surprised that wasn't a yellow, it deserved one.

why are those challenges not being booked?

it's been a farce this whole tournament.

Feels like it's gradually been getting worse as the tournament wears on, though maybe I was just blinded by all the goals.
