    First question
You are stating that Keegan gave an assurance that 5 would be granted. Who do we believe?

    Great question

Two GAA heads now to lock horns more likely not :(

I didn't ignore anything. No it hasn't been used for rock concerts, I don't think they had many in 1913. It was used for facilitating huge crowds. It still is, or was. That's what stadiums are for, people that live right beside one should know this.
So you really do think there's no difference between the odd Sunday afternoon GAA crowd versus 400,000 weeknight rock concert goers over 5 nights?
    Heaven help us.
"facilitating huge crowds" covers both scenarios? 4 realz?

Keegan told GAA that DCC would be supportive and gave no indication a refusal would come.
"I'll swear an affidavit" He may have to

This guy offering to swear an affidavit and saying there are several other witnesses to the phonecall/verbal assurance that all 5 licences would be granted.

Firstly, Dun Laoghaire has nothing to do with this. Secondly, as has been repeatedly pointed out Keegan didn't actually make the decision about the concerts.
Firstly, yes it does if it involves a senior figure in the decision making process. Secondly, see first point.

Indeed, and the crux of it.

McKenna's explanation seems very credible. If the staff from his office there at the time of the call say the same, Keegan will be under pressure.

In fairness the GAA chairman of the committee is asking hard questions

My connection isn't always the best, what was the thing with Cul Camps, what does that have to do with Garth at Croke Park?

'There is no single group that we can deal with, so we don't deal with any'...you mean Peter.

Now who does that strategy remind me off??????

So, although he didn't make the actual decision, a decision he may or may not have made from a previous job not related to this is relevant to this decision.

Think Aikens just listed all our examples of similar events in other stadiums around the world. Does he read boards?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,670 ✭✭✭Peppa Pig

GAA big concern is the number of fradulent objections

Not - assurance all would be given
    - valid objections existed
    - effect on community

Aiken says it was going to be videoed on 3 nights.

Timmy on now wearing a Philomena Begley t-shirt

Aikens and the GAA so far coming out of this a lot cleaner than DCC and Keegan.

    You all must be raging.

Timmy again saying that Kegan agreed to give 4. The fact that he didn't seems to be lost on him

No questions from him just bitching about what Keegan said

Why - if they are correct then Keegan should be fired.
If not they should be dragged through a court.

Instead of asking why they didn't accept 4, Dooley asks a leading question. Fecking disgrace of a TD

No, I think his Ma maybe took his phone away from him, or the neighbours that he was stealing the wifi off copped onto it.

GAA basically saying that they were told the 2 licences were shot down out of the blue, without being given any chance to amend the issues or do whatever needed to be done to fix it and get the 5.
