Well I never said that it indicated that he hadn't been timely, just that it showed that they where in constant communication about the submission.

Apologies, didn't mean to infer that you had said that. Forget who made that point now. Might have even been in the Poltics thread.

How do you watch TV3 online? Their website is shit.

I can't believe there are two documentaries about it on TV, there will be a film next, then a book, t-shirts, etc... he could write a whole album on the subject. One day it could be studied in schools and colleges up and down the country.

I just saw that both RTE and TV3 are doing a Garth Brooks program tonight.

Have the people of Ireland reached a new level of stupid?

Well, if the blooming Saipan affair could end up on the stage with I Keano, then I think it's only inevitable there'll be something similar :P

He Came. He Saw. He Went Home.

Keano: "Typical! If you fail to plan, then you’re planning to fail."
Packie Bonnerus: "But if you plan to fail, and you do fail, then surely you have succeeded?"

Dublin needs to do what Belfast did (though they waited a long time before the penny dropped) - instead of wailing and hollering, turn the "farrago" into a money-spinner - the streets around Croker could be the Garth Crooks Quarter with guided tours and audio-visual displays which tell the story of this international disaster. And of course merchandising - everything can think of with the "Garth Crooks Non Event of July 2014" logo

Who is that irritating brunette "journalist" they keep cutting to??

She looks like Miriam O'Callaghan / Fiona Looney's lovechild.

There's a documentary about the gigs on RTE too?

oh yes i forgot about the Saipan play, so we could have a play and a movie, then show the play for three nights and the movie for the other two nights on big screens in Croke Park.
