If there's more than 500 of the hen harriers in the country there should be no protection in place.

As I've said before and I'll say it again....

It's just pathetic how we have to go public to get basic health services.

Parents, friends and relations go public to make issues public.

Leo and his buddies in the HSE should hang their heads in shame.

Yes, it is getting worse Leo. It's your job to make it better.

I think rural Ireland needs broadband to sort out the big bulk of its unemployment problems, I know a lot of people, me included that if I could work from home anywhere out in the sticks I would, the vast majority of office based jobs can be done anywhere in the country remotely.

Not according to Brendan Howlin and his car tax transfers back in the 90s. On another note FG identifying the Shinners as the main opposition may actually result in the Shinners becoming the main opposition.

I'm not a fan of the lady who hosts Vincent's show - for the life of me I can't think of her name

She is fierce pale to say the least.

I don't think she carries the show.

Isn't this lad someone you'd hate to be stuck in a lift with?

Its not as funny as it sounds. Basically Europe enforced a law that certain land was to be protected for the hen harrier. It cant be farmed or built on. Or forested. the owners would be compensated in form of a grant. The grant is now removed but not the protection order. So these farmers have had their land which is their source of income removed and they cant sell it cause no one else can do anything with it. Thats 4000 livelihoods lost, and whatever they lost regards the land being an asset. Its not 4000 people dead in Nepal but I lost a fiver last week and it pissed me off, I dont think id be happy if it was my property and job taken from me.

The whole financial system was insane, it makes a hard working Arthur Daley type character selling dodgy cars look like a salt of the earth character.

How can these accountancy firms who signed off on the banks being solvent still be in business and not only be still in business but actually taking on new government contracts?
