I suppose it's a bit of a catch 22. I was going to go when Vinny was in my neck of the woods, then I decided against it thinking, 'nah, it'll probably be full with party hacks, ' so I didn't go and sure enough it was full with party hacks.

My fault however for not going, cannot blame the party loyalists for standing up for whatever reasons they have.

This level of employment in the two ESB power plants means that the subsidy for peat works out at around ?500,000 per employee to produce 250 megawatts of power. (This figure includes average annual salaries of ?72,000 a year for workers in the peat stations.)
