Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Years ago a neighbour of mine had a relation who went to the mental hospital asking for help, was told to go home, and he killed himself. If I remember correctly was told he wasn't bad enough.

Fair play to TV3 and these live shows, they are different than your standard studio audience setup. Vin might need a few bouncers on some of the shows though, they can get a little rowdy.

In the UK they spend less than ourselves on their first class health system (per population)

Of course he's talking bullsh1t but the reason for the hoarse voice is that he was injured in a fire when he was young

These shows are great for championing the spending of money we don't have and entitlement culture
It didn't get the nick name 'the joe duffy show with pictures' for nothing
Aren't we fierce lucky the majority of voters are pragmatic and have common sense

She should talk to Joe Duffy, she has a full shows worth going for her.

We have money, just not being spent correctly

Darcy and Byrne pretending to look interested the minute they saw the camera on them. Pathetic

Howlin has achieved nothing as minister. Zero. Utterly useless.

Rough show tonight for the government parties.

    I think it's wrong that those under 25 don't get €188 a week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,404 ✭✭✭✭vicwatson

I've never heard any government like successive and current Irish governments with so many committees, councils and report commissioning.

When Michael Martin was health minister he spent 30,000,000.00 on 10 reports during his tenure. We are idiots

I think it's wrong that those young people don't get up of their ar$es and go out and earn their money!

Anyone who votes for Brendan Howlin has a very short memory and has forgotten the broken promises of which he and his party where voted in on the last time round. Isnt that the mad woman off Fr Ted shaking her handbag.

Love the ad breaks on VB.

It means I can go and get a beer.

    From the fridge.

    In the off-licence.

    In town.

    3 miles away.

    And back.

And still get back in plenty of time for the paper preview.......

Mick Wallace might top the poll next time around. Leaving aside his tax issues, he seems to be the only one who can talk straight.

That the sitting ministers don't attend these debates is a disgrace and they should be told that on the doorsteps when they come looking for your vote.

Aer Lingus: Your return air ticket is €800.

AAA guy: No way, we won't pay...

Aer Lingus: ok no flight for you.

AAA: OK, we will pay. It is more important than water.

I think Wallace was the reason they didn't attend and that won't be lost on the Wexford people.
I am not a huge fan of the idea of Independents but ......
