Sinn Fein would do well to retire Gerry. He's holding them back and is the only link to a murky past. They could start afresh.

Now the cans of worms are opening,

Brown is looking at the bigger picture.

The mass abuse covered up by FF/FG for decades.

Absolutely, all the sexual abuse scandals happened with the supervision of FF and FG led governments (with Labour support).

    No excuse for Sinn Fein.

We have seen cover up of sexual abuse within families, the church, the BBC, irish swimming and throughout society.
Rather than doing the right thing, embarrassment for individuals or organisations has led to cover ups.

    Correct.

Tens of thousands of children abused in just about every school in this country for nearly 100 years.

Hundreds of abusers were sent to the four corners of the globe,to reabuse.

    The US,Canada, South America etc.

The state colluded, read the Ferns report to start with.

Sinn Feiners will point to the perceived bullying and bias of the Sunday Independent and the Independent towards Sinn Fein.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,757 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Gerry was too busy on the IRA army council to bother with abuse. Too busy planning things...

SF could have dealt with this issue much better instead of banishing sex offenders to the Republic and England.
The Govt are also being hypocritical too and trying to score points.
They were not as hard on the Catholic Church who did likewise. Just think Fr Brendan Smyth.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭Busted Flat.

Collins has proved himself what he is, an Idiot.

There would be complaints of boobie molestation if it was a mixed sport.

The 5 hours of debate had nothing to do with sex abuse or sexual assault, it was about attacking SF. Hopefully it will come back to haunt the so called leaders that have cut back funding to the rape crisis centers.

Collins ranting in the Dáil today like someone from the Hitler youth, and his performance on VinB tonight gives you an insight into his intelligence and suitability as a government minister, Mickey get rid of him now, and consider your own position after your disgusting performance today

And if you knew your history, you'd know, sometimes, you have to fight.

Like Friday night in Celtic Park might be one such an occasion.

    Metaphorically, of course.

But having said that,.....I will not be responsible for the table-slapping, cat-throwing, dog-kicking, beer-spilling, ceiling-thumping, mass-hugging, tv - hopefully not - busting, cos they've only equalised, madness that I predict will joyously erupt in homes all over Ireland and Scotland.

Btw, if you're there, you're not allowed to slag Broony, he can't help it, but he's a Celt at heart.

And you cant be arrested if you sing the song of your country in the ground, cos all "Foreign" anthems are UEFA respected.

Bottom line. Up the Republic of,......

It may be an education, if you can handle it.
