Funnily enough I think Michael McNamara is very sincere and is a grafter but he isn't politically astute and he is way too honest and straightforward to avail of some of the soft photo opportunities that some of his colleagues do.

Unfortunately, I think he chose the wrong political party, there is no Labour following in Clare and there will be less from here on in.

I've only ever heard positive things about Michael McNamara, but I hear little so it sounds like your assessment about him being under the radar is on the money

He's look a lot more politician like with this haircut..

Timmy has all the answers now that he is in opposition but his party were in government when Ennis lost its 24 Hour A&E and Shannon Airport lost its Heathrow slots.

He is a Dutch national who stood in the County Council elections last year and received about 100 votes.

Wasn't he one of the few TDs in the Dáil when IW was being legalised?
Iirc, he was very angry at the conditions and walked out in disgust.

Strikes me as an honest guy.

I remember people taking the p1ss out of McCabe when he first ran in the local elections but he has had the last laugh. He is one of the few people who did well out of the Celtic Tiger years. To be fair to him, he bought two hotels in recent times and he is providing some employment.

I admire his get up and go attitude, and he does have a good community spirit; I was just pointing out that he is a "character"

The problem with all these shows is that they end up with disproportionately large turnouts of the hard left parties like people before profit and sometimes worse. They listen to nobody, are not open to reasonable argument and spend most of the time shouting and interrupting.
