Hi,

I think I initially posted this question in wrong place,.

Amiko Alien 2.

Updating my menu options, and I cannot find how to Rearrange my Fav list.

I have five favourites..
Sport, News, Soaps, Quiz, and Others.

I was looking to re-arrange them to read
News, Soaps, Quiz, Sport, Others.

Can't work it out.
Running Spark.

I have read through the manual , and it seems to cover everything but this.
All input would be welcome...

Extract the files with 7zip or whatever you use for that

Thanks for the advice, but
7zip keeps going around in circles.
It will not open anything.

Does any one know whether what I'm trying to do is possible or not.
and is there a way to do it ??

i used it to extract the file as a test . choose extract to spark channel editor and it extracts it to a folder and if you go into the folder a cuple of levels you get the channel editor

Sorry for being so annoying, but I cannot do what you say.
"choose extract to spark channel editor and it extracts it to a folder" works but
the folder won't open,
It seems straightforward enough but there is nothing happening.
I click on the link....
I Get the download page,... I download Channel editor....
Rar Opener appears.... I choose unpack....
I Get my downloads page....
I select the file....
it takes me back to Unpack ???

I'm at a loss....

go onto the file in your downloads . right click on it not left . highlight 7zip then select extract to channel editor

Did as you said but after right clicking, I get a box with

" Open
Scan with
open with
Scan with..
etc... etc...
but nothing to highlight
No 7zip...
???

Delete it and reinstall.

If that don't do it then click on that "open with" option you had and look and see can you select it in there.

Hi there,

When I go into my plugins a message appears. "Some plugins are not available:Extensions/BackupSuite(No module named BackupSuite.plugin). Just wondering if anyone ould shed some light on it please?

Also I want to setup a 7 day epg on Enigma2? What's cooltvguide, it's not in my plugins. Think i'm using Openvix (VixaBlue) looks kinda like skys display.

the latest 4ix4e2 image has a crossepg plugin and crossepg refresh

Ok cool i'll try find out which one.

I've never flashed anything onto the amiko is it difficult, just nervous that i'll mess the box up ya know. Can I download the image from here or do I have to go onto their site?

you only get enigma 2 images from 3rd party . if your enigma 2 is working ok leave it alone , it will take setting up for your box


on spark its more basic and straight forward

Yeah it's working fine I suppose, just the 7 day epg really that I don't have. Can i download Cool tv Guide, save it onto usb and flash it on amiko?

The attached pic is what plugins I have on the amiko. I get the backupsuite error message, click ok and then comes into plugin browser. Removed TS Media there and error message gone i think.

thats enigma2 your using not spark

go into the crossepg set open tv provider as astra 2 28.2 and in configure set it to download to your HDD or usb

and then hit download now

try kodi direct one of the e2 plugins there work better than tsmedia

Followed instructions above, the epg hasn't changed yet. When I was downloading it said "Downloader starting". It went on for about 30 secs or so said loading data.... I didn't see a % coming up or anything like that. Not sure if that make a difference.

Still getting that Backupsuite error message, not sure what plugin the error is coming from.

the usb drive / hdd prob needed to be formated in ext3 to work on enigma2

That EPG seems to have works, still few empty slots but epg has filled up a hell of a lot more that it was, thank you very much.

EPG looks great thanks, just another question you don't mind. I've uploaded a pic of my epg there I was watching RTE at the time, which is in the category "Entertainment". How do I browse through my other categories i.e. News, Music etc from that point?

At the moment I can only browse through those categories, if I am currently viewing a channel in that particular category. The remote does not let me scroll up to category or to Vix at top with Planner/Settings etc ( I presume that's just there for show)

Trying to connect my 2 TB Samsung hard drive to Amiko, as internal flash is being used up (36mb left). Had EPG all sorted but box was crashing so deleted the plugins. Finally got my hard drive today trying to setup. When I go to storage to initialise the the hard drive, it gets to 99% and then says "Error: Timeout elapsed,sorry". Happens with 2 usb sticks aswell.

I go to Filesystem check and get error: filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else) the the superblock is corrupt and you might try running e2fsk with an alternate superblock e2fsck-b8193<device>.

- In recording setting the default movie location is /media/hdd/movie and it won't change.
- EPG location is internal flash and won't change either.
- Device Info: Detected devies: /dev/sda1 Not mounted
