Thanks mate, i'll upgrade morrow and try the usb too, might even buy a new usb stick as the two I have didn't seem to work.. had them for a long time. If by some reason it doesn't work (which seems common with me), is there any other options for sorting out the channel list order?

it will work its a lot easier done .i think your plugin problem was caused by u extracting 2 much with 7 zip

there will be a new channel list soon on the new 1.2.83 firmware as the irish channels are set to move frequencys in the next week

Ok cool, are "channel lists" the same as Autobouquets in the way they organise category etc?

When i'm downloading the db_201512180056.zip, there is another zip inside called "Appdb.tar.gz". Do I unzip that too and just put unzipped folder Appdb.tar.gz & version.xml on the usb? I did that quickly last night and nothing showed up when I went to upgrade. I'm going to buy new usb key today just incase.

no

right Click on the zip . go to 7 zip and select extract to db2015 ....\

you get a folder and not a zip called db2015.... with an appdbb.tar and a version.xml you do not extract or unzip the Appdbb, the folder with the file 2 the hdd/usb


if you just copy over the zip nothing will work

Installed the update thanks but find it hard to believe that the only listed change is "improves youporn playback"

Who releases the spark software is it Amiko themselves?

there is a nor flash update aswell and it improves the picture quality a bit aswell

Is the nor update part of software update or a different update and if different any chance of sharing on how to update the nor?

- Right clicked on zip folder and extracted to db2015.
- Clicked within that db2015 to get the other db2015 in which the two files are contained.
- Copied that folder with the two files onto usb keys.
- Plugged into the back of the Amiko, little hard drive with magnifying glass appears for few secs but then goes away and nothing happens.

It's pretty much the same as what has happened before. Didn't get new usb key yet, so maybe I should look into that. I upgraded software, not database though.. not sure what that is. On the plus side, youporn is working fine lol

Followed the steps, selected Upgrade type: Database but when i try to select folder there is nothing there.

you have to hit ok on the / then select c , then db2015etc, then version.xml and hit red to upgrade , it works fine for all the others in here

it will not work if you have the db2015.zip on the usb needs to be the db2015b file with appdb.tar.gz and version.xml in
try it in the back usb slot if you havnt already

I got a new usb key and it found file, downloaded the .xml file upgrades & rebooted. Do I have you do anything now? When I click favorites button says "No favorite program".

theres no favourites on it yet , i will add that soon

i havnt added them its just an organised list where all kinds of channels are grouped together the +1s are beside the main channel etc

ill update it during the week again as all the irish channels will be moving

1-99 are free to air
100-110 irish
111- 220 universal other entertainment 181 Movies
250 - Music
301 Sports

Oh ok sorry, I thought it might group them into categories like enigma2 autobouqets.

i can add them but never got round to it

a lad did do a version last year

theres no real need as there all together and not all over like on sky

you will get used to it after a bit

Mine seems bit different, 181 for Movies & 301 for Sports says "does not exist". The onyl sat showing is 2A/2B/2D.

Sky Sports 1 is 401, channels seem bit muddled. I was trying to create my own favorites. I wanted to have categories but I think i'm just going to try put the channels i view most in the favorites category.

click the ok button and then hit the left button twice select all and then right click back to the channels only and press ok

Do I click the ok button from the channel? If I do that it brings me to the TV list or TV wall.

yes you have the wrong list when you left arrow click twice it will give u choice of all , fav sat, a-z etc ec

select all , then go right twice and press ok on a channel and you should be on right list

if not the channel list didnt load

dont use auto channel list its way out of date

Think I found it, thanks. Can I edit that myself and switch few things around? I was going to try do my own favorites list, is that done on the box itself in the channel category or is there some kind of channel editor?

ddid you upgrade to spark 1.2.83 in menu , spark , upgrade software, hit red when your over the top 1.2.83

I flashed that thanks, it looks the same as it was.

I did upgrade alright the other day. I upgraded the software, there was a database option beside it but I didn't go near that.

I was trying to do my own favorites. Ideally I'd like to put them into categories e.g. Entertainment, News, Kids etc but can't seem to manage to put certain channels into categories.
