go to Menu , system , factory default and delete all channels and reload the db2016 channel list

Just wondering about setting up the recrod setting on Spark. It doesn't seem that my record and pause is setup correctly. When I press record, timer comes up but stays at 00.00.00 & when I pause, it pauses but when I press play it hasn't actually paused at all and resumes to current viewing time.

Record Setting:

- Record path: /storage/c/pvr
- Duration: 2 hours
- Extend Record time: 0 Mins

Timeshift setting :(Presume thats for when you pause)
- Enable: On
- Timeshift Path: /storage/c/timeshift
- Time: 60 mins

have u a big usb/hdd attached is it formated ntfs/ ext3

I have my 1tb external hard drive, it probably has lot of stuff from when I set up enigma2.

Do you think I should format my hard drive? I thought I had to set timeshift path to my hard drive. Are your settings in record the same as mine?

EDIT: When I try to format the hard drive, current file system is EXT3, it says cannot format this hard drive.

timeshift on mine is 10minutes

timeshift shouldnt be used to record , a full programme thats for the timers menu

I can't record or pause at the moment. Was working perfect in Enigma2. Couldn't format drive & laptop didn't recognise it either. I thought that once the hard drive was attached & path set to the hard drive, it should work fine but not the case.

When I press record, the icon appears but stays at zero & then I have to stop the recording... even though nothing is actually recording. I thought I had to use timeshift path to hard drive to pause things?

reboot wiyj box power switch and try record again
my pvr menu is same as recording /storage/c/pvr

i had problems recordinga while back i reloaded everything

once u hit record once it will record . a red button appears hit it again it pauses and it goes green and pauses recording , nothing to do with timeshift

Yeah rebooted twice already and still same as. Do you have timeshift set /storage/c/timeshift?

When you say reloaded everything, do you mean factory reset and install everything again?

i did it from recovery image mine is set to storage /c/pvr


turn off time shift and you might be able to record and maybe format disk

I don't think I have a recovery image of Spark, unless I do a complete factory reset. If i did that would I have to do everything i've done previous again? Not having an easy time with the amiko that's for sure.

There is one inthe dropbox . then you update yes . its a clean install . you seem to have a lot of issues with usb drives . use the usb slot at the back of the box for your 1tb go into menu / file list / all and delete some old stuff from it

laptop wont recognize ext3 drives unless you have something like http://sourceforge.net/projects/ext2fsd/files/ installed and running

Have that downloaded now, i'll try the image tomorrow and most likely be on here again asking for your help but i'll give it a bash on my own first.

I did test the hard drive speed but can't remember what it was. I ll do it all morrow and let you know, thanks.

ok not sure you can format ext3 from laptop with that software . it will let your read write

try just formatting it in spark not partioning it

Did usb speed and tried formatting and it but says formatting failed.

Partition Wizard is a utility that can format and test just about every type of disc.

Downloaded partition wizard, cant see option to format drive?

Managed to format and then create new partition. Record works fine now but the pause function still isn't working. It pauses the screen alright but when you press play it hasn't paused anything.

EDIT: Didn't know you had to press timeshift, then pause. Think it's ok

controls are different to enigma 2 there more standard to the remote

if any of you have m3u playlists of iptv

add the playlist to your hdd and import them then on the web tv app

nearly all servers work except for the odd server that restricts playing on it

update your firmware


you need to install the Plugins that are in dropbox

then load a channel list thats in dropbox 2


i will upload an slightly updated channel list in a few minutes irish channels have moved
