Guys for anyone having issues with RTE and RT ONE I followed dkanes guide to update Autobouquets but found that by using opkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-autobouquets-e2_20160111_all.ipk after installing the file in the temp directory failed to run.
    So I found opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk …..worked fine.
Could you post a link or pm me if u can as I'm only new to these boxs

Updating to the latest version of Autobouquets fixed the issue.
For anyone else having this problem you can download the latest version of Autobouquets from

Ftp the file to the /tmp directory on your Amiko Alien 2 using Filezilla.
Then telnet to the box and run:
    opkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-autobouquets-e2_20160111_all.ipk

You will need to restart your box and then add your settings back into Autobouquets and run it to reload the guide.

Follow this but instead of running opkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-autobouquets-e2_20160111_all.ipk

    Run opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk

P.S can't leave the link dkane had in original post

Guys, while I'm thinking about it does anyone know of a IP Camera plugin that will run on the Hyperion image. Tried Camofs but won't install. Thanks

Sorry I see the option for disabling it, and should the mount be cifs or nfs?
You don't need to mount anything to share, only when you're looking at a share from another box, then you mount it as a drive on the box.. You'll do this on your new box, mounting the share from your main box. Where are you looking at the nfs/cifs option? There's no options on the samba server, which uses smb file share protocol, developed from the now redundant cifs protocol.

Sorry I end up over thinking these things sometimes! I downloaded es explorer to my phone and can find my box no problem. Does that mean samba is running ok and the problem is at the laptop?

Hi, just go to channel folders, press menu and remove entries you don't want then set the folders you do want in bouquets then rerun, should work although I always end up with some that I never look at. Thanks

You're welcome. This is the developer's blog, in German but it translates well.
    http://www.dreambox.info/dreamboxdb/thread.php?postid=540&sid=97e030b75b309f2baa19e334cbddc928#post540
EDIT; file is a .tar.gz archive, which I belive is for enigma 1 boxes. The blog is quite old, so that figures. You can install this manually on Enigma2, expand out the archive and drop the files into their repective directories, or use dream explorer plugin to "install package" Will it work? success reported on the open pli blog for installing Tar.gz on openpli
http://forums.openpli.org/topic/13863-vuduo-manual-instal-targz/ as recent as January, so it might/may/could/should work.
Edit2: tried it in an idle moment there, using blue panel plugins/addons/.gz/install, having put the. gz file in tmp. It put all the files into their respective places, but no joy or sign of a plugin. Guess it's not E2 friendly.

Cheers I'm gonna try that registry editor thing for windows that might solve it, at least i know samba is running ok so should be no issues connecting to another box, that's my main aim. Thanks again

Is anyone having the same issue? Is there another source for openatv 5.1 packages?

I'm on hyperion 4.5, but I've noticed that my plugins list is empty, pressing the green button search then reports 'no new plugins' I previously had a comprehensive list, now it's empty. I presume plugins and extensions are garnered from a server somewhere.

That happens for a day or so usually when pkteam release a new version or if the site is down.

V5.2 seems to have been released to that's probably the reason behind it.

V5.2 Is that Hyperion or OpenATV? Maybe I will give Hyperion a try if OpenATV remains like this for another couple of weeks.

I noticed they were trying Hyp V5.2 but only for certain boxes. I couldn't find an AA2/GM/Sab 7162 version yet as of last w/end

    Open TV providers for CrossEPG

    Ausat openTV (Optussc1 on 156.0)
Sky Italia OpenTV (Hotbird on 13.0)
Sky UK OpenTV (Astra2 on 28.2)

Does anyone know how to add Astra 19.2e and Hotbird 13e as I have these running on tuner C.

    Also

Would anyone know why my box keeps reverting back from my external HDD to internal flash in storage device. I have mounted it and box also recognize external HDD. Box crashed last week and since then its reverting to internal flash I wonder is it do when enigma updates in mornings.

    Thanks.

    Hi all.
I recently purchased a box with enigma 2 vix4 installed and an external 320g HDD.

Problem I'm having is that when I plug in the hard drive and try and start the box it hangs up in boot.
If I turn off the box disconnect the hard drive and restart it boots no problem.
The hard drive is EXT3 formatted.

    Any ideas appreciated

Did you try booting into spark and formatting the drive there?

To be honest I only figured how to boot into spark this eveing so will give that a go.
I'm starting to think that for someone with very basic computer skills maybe this wasn't the wiseest purchase.
I bought it to access the other capabilities which we can't discuss but it's all a bit confusing.
The more I read the more confused I get

Some here are IT professionals and still get confused. Is your box an Alien2 or equivalent? Tuner C suggests its a triple. There's bitter posts out there about Vix for the Alien2, (see post #976 ) as Vix don't make images for SH4 boxes (the type of processor used in the alien), The VIX4 for the alien2 is developed by Lavatronics, and in fairness the product presents very well, http://www.vix4.com/e2project/, nice video tutorials etc, and the latest images
The OpenVix site has this useful .PDF manual
    http://www.openvix.co.uk/openvix-builds/Guides%20and%20Tutorials/VIX%20Manual%20Vs%201.1.pdf
Unlike the Hyperion image, there doesn't seem to be the same level of a fiddling available for the usb connected disks, no "blue panel". They just mount when plugged in. Try the previous advice of formatting and mounting in Spark first, then reboooting in Enigma with the disk still plugged in. Try EXT2 formatting instead, format on a Pc using EaseUs partition master. I'm curious if anyone has tried this VIX4 image, how it compares to hyperion and so on. It looks slick and full featured, image is only 58MB too. Here if anyone wants a go. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BztHgAu7cL-QcUxISzdWY1VaclU/view?usp=sharing

Sorry, I should have mentioned it's an Amiko Alien 2 triple tuner.

Based on thr above posts I'm going to give mounting and formatting in spark a go.

What format do most people have their hard drives when using on the Alien 2.

Thanks for the links. There's some useful reading there

I had problems using ext3 when i first moved from Spark to enigma2, I reformatted to NTFS and never bothered to try ext2 or 3 since, though it ought to be the, ideal for Linux box. actually, I recall the problem was like the post above http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=99054162&postcount=5749 where the box would revert to flash. Never happens now.

Why has the world and his wife advised ext 3 so? I presume yours is working flawlessly??
My brother has a problem on hyp 4.5. Out of the blue when pressing folder to go into hard drive, the icon in top left starts spinning and doesn't stop, has to reboot.
All mounted ok and paths pointing in right direction???

EXT is native to linux/unix, so it should read/write faster with less demand on the box I suppose. Mines not perfect, the odd HD recording stutters on playback, and I had to reboot once or twice when EPG vanished, but it came back with a simple reboot and run of crosepg downloader. I just can't be ar**d to format to EXT3 and lose all my recording, nor do I want the hassle of backing them up elsewhere.
On another note, I've recently re-discovered the IPTV plugin, when I ran HaBaCAHAHA's movies (or whatever his name is) I got a smashing bouquet of current stuff. Even on my sh***e broadband, 6MB/s, It was fine. Only problem, how do you pause, skip, ff? Stopping brings you right back to the start.

XMLTV providers, RYTEC Germany/Austria/Swiss for 19.2e, RYTEC Italy for 13.0e, also Sky Italia on OpenTV for 13,0e. My understanding is that there are bigish initial download times, these are not from the satellites themselves but over d'internet
