Yep and running great for me the last few weeks although I think my recordings are starting to get a wee bit slow to start like previous versions did. I might try a reflash to see if it improves

you have the vix4 image there is a vix 4 2.002 that i have loaded , the plugins your looking for are Likely in the extensions dropdown when you go into plugins

On the current image, I can see the list of installed extensions when I go into plugins. However, when I select "download plugins", I get an empty list. I was expecting to see a long list of available extensions to install. Any ideas?

may need to update as there was a driver change after your version

theres should be dropdown menus with extension drivers etc . there are more in the open atv plugin setup , but there are and should be plenty of plugins all i use are cacheflush , ondemand . and tsmedia and softcam - kodi direct is there aswell

Open atv 5.3 seems good except for having to set up certain things manually which is awkward

has anyone a working open atv 5.3 back up ?

Think plugins menu has been deactivated for older versions - you'll have to update to the newest version available.

Yes you will unless you load a back up version from someone else and tinker with that

ive installed the latest Opendroid image

its simular in setting up to open atv

drawbacks

no obvious wifi set up
rebooting gui only can be troublesome
saorview not properly in bouquet

Plus

Booster included and fastest image ive seen on alien 2
added on the apps work faster
streaming picture quality better aswell on these



an option for the more experienced user

you cant not loose all your set up but the setting up of these images are the most straight forward set ups ive seen

there fast yes and pretty decent



the opendroid is the fastest ive seen but thats a more complicated limited image

you will need to change the saorview region in both searvice seacrhing set up and autobouqets maker and run autobqts again

and do your other bits you want

on demand and tsmedia installed

Yes,

Turn on Samba on the box, scan for shared folders, mount them. Then search and play. It works-ish. Wired network preffered.

thanks for this, im just in the process of giving this a go, how do i configure the terrestial tuner? i have saoirview setup in abm no probs. and how would i install cooltvguide, its not in the plugin downloads? Also what's the passwords for dcc?

more upto date and more user friendly and easy to use with saorview + wifi
and pic quality a lil better etc

i liked opendroid but its trickier
