    Hi,

    Im trying to login to Oscam on Hyperion 4.5 but get 403 Forbidden Access denied. I think its something to do with httpallowed in the oscam config

    [webif]
    httpport = 15500
    httpuser = *****
    httppwd = *****
    httprefresh = 10
    httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.1.28-192.168.0.xx

    Can someone tell me where on the box this file is located.

    Thanks.

    Change the range to 192.168.0.0-192.168.1.99.

    What ip is your box? The file is /var/keys/oscam.server, you need to modify the file to suit your ip range so you can access it from your browser. We can not help you getting oscam working though.

    Are there issues running enigma2 on these boxes at 1080p?
    Wondering why the images are using 720p.

    For people with 720p Tvs.

    If the backup is set to 1080, when someone with 720p loads it up they get blank screen.

    I was told by a guy from Saorview to use 1080i because that is the way the TV stations broadcast. I asked him why they broadcast in 1080i and he said something about bandwidth being much less than 1080p.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,072 ✭✭✭mass_debater

    Tv is broadcast in 1080i, 1080p is not a tv resolution so if you set the box to 1080p you'll still only get 1080i

    Figured it out. Cool Epg doesn't look in /media/hdd for picons.
    Used telnet to connect to box and added this symlink:

    ln -s /media/hdd/picons /coolpicons

    So, when you telnet in and login as root, what is the actual command your issuing ?
    I tried the above but get -sh not found !

    Thanks

    Update - got it working, so telnet in (i used Putty), login is as Root (password pkteam) and issue the following following command sh -s /media/hdd/picons /coolpicons

    Thanks.

    Yeah I have that issue too. Time on front starts at 0:00 when you power up the box. Doesn't get set correctly until you put it into standby.

    Hello, New to this..
    Bought a new Amiko Alien 2+with Enigma pre loaded to replace my sky box,

    Cant seem to sort out my channels, Did an auto scan & found all the channels as they were on my sky box but for example when i press channel one it selects rte 1 on 101 but nothing happens? i can view Soarview channels by pressing the sat button & selecting Terrestrial Providers & choosing the channel from there but its up around 2900
    Just want a simple set up with only free working channels 1-30 or 1-40 something like that but not 3000 channels but most not working...
    Im new to this so terms etc will be new to me...

    Any help would be great,

    Thanks

    John

    Let's start from the beginning.

    Can you test something else on that ethernet cable or swap it for another?

    If all's good then follow on.

    Below IP's are for example purpose.

    1. You have your box connected to your router via ethernet.
    2. On your STB go to network settings for your box.
    3. For the moment disable DHCP so we can enter our own details.
    4. Let's say your routers address is 192.168.0.1
    5. So lets say we give you box an IP of 192.168.0.140.
    6. Subnet Mask should be 255.255.255.0.
    7. Gateway should be the IP of your router, in our example case it's 192.168.0.1
    8. Edit your DNS for Nameserver 1, 8.8.8.8.
    9. Edit your DNS for Nameserver 2, 8.8.4.4.
    10. Click save and give it a few seconds for network activation.

    After you've done all that, give it a test.

    Tried that and no luck, see attached photo.
    I'm restarting atm

    The problem is the image that it on the box has been prescanned with it's terrestrial probably from Three Rock, and then had the channels moved into the Bouquets after scanning. By jumping to Terrestrial Providers, you are probably looking at the channels that YOU scanned. If you press RED for all channels, you might see two or three RTE One's.

    So just download DreamboxEdit to a PC and re-edit the listing the way you want it. See www.dreamboxedit.com - http://dreamboxedit.com/ccount/click.php?id=dbe_download_6011_full

    To use DreamboxEdit, just set both your Laptop AND the Box with STATIC IP Addresses and you can then connect your laptop straight to the box. I've done this many times.

    Yes if you connect the box to the broadband router and have a pc also connected to the same router you can use dreamboxedit

    What happens when you press the "exit" button on the remote when in the guide?
