I know it is legal to have several bank accounts if someone wants to. If someone opens a new bank account, do you have to tell the new bank about any other bank accounts or all! If not! Does anyone know if Irish Banks have a data system that shows them if you have any other Irish bank accounts.

You can have as many accounts as you want without another bank needing to know. If however you have a bad debt with any financial institution in Ireland the details will be shared to show you have these debts.
