Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is a great game for a 3rd/4th place play off.

Oscar did himself out of a penalty by going down before the contact. Had he not it would have been a definite penalty.

Alkin needs to shut up about David luiz. Get off the bandwagon alkin

van Persie seems to have forgotten about the offside rule.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

Van Persie offside for what seems about the 100th time this tournament. No way Brazil don't score in this game. Dutch sitting very deep. Hopefully they do it soon so we get a grandstand finish.

I really don't like this Brazil team, but I hope they score. I'm glad neither of these teams got to the final though.

I missed a fair bit of it cause the power went at the house, but it dies seem decent enough.

I thought Brian Kerr was going to something along the lines that it was incredible Hulk was being brought on.

Brazil would probably be better off sticking Neymar on in a wheelchair than relying on Hulk.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

With Hulk, I think you need to put him somewhere where his usual ****ing up will lead to minimum damage. Probably up front if anywhere.

All we need is Fred to complete the Brazilian incompetency.

alkin going on and on about luiz is wrecking my head i nearly hopes he smashes in a 30 yard screamer to shut him up

It would be hard to leave Vlaar and Kuyt out of a team of the tournament. That's something I never imagined I would be thinking back at the start.

Its nice to hearna commentator say how he feels though. Its what a lot of us think about Luiz anyway.

Vlaar has to be a shoo-in.

phenomenal tournament from him, particularly in the knockout rounds.

Vrij is equally good as Vlaar IMO. He is also very good on the ball and carries the ball forward. Very much impressed by him.

He'd still be a crap defender though which is his bread and butter. Or its supposed to be.

    Glazers Out!

Are FIFA taking revenge on Brazil for investigating the ticket touting?

The penalty decisions were a bit too mad to be incompetence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

That was a peno as well

  • Registered Users Posts: 27 glasshopper

no way robben is getting another peno regardless

And how do you explain the peno not given there for the foul on Robben?

Looks like game over to me.

Was hoping for few more goals, looking forward to the final now.

Let's forget about this game for now.

George Hamilton wouldn't even stoop to that, sounded better in his head.

Vlaar yes but Kuyt's woeful semi final performance rules him out for me. Had a decent tournament overall though in fairness to him.

i would have loved Dirk Kuyt to score a goal

For me it was the football.

Is anyone else looking forward to Brazils reaction and recovery from this? It has massively hurt a pure football nation, of its own making of course. But I think there might be a different outlook on things after this tournament.
