Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Apparently when you score your first international goal it is your first goal because you had not scored it before.

    Good old Luiz.

The tones of exasperation from the RTE commentators on the subject of Brazil are certainly entertaining.

Shocking from Luiz there. You're told when you're around 10 not to do what he did. Would be amazed if Scolari survived after this cup, its shocking that it seems he will.

Imagine that, the away team at a football match getting jeered(!)

I wouldnt be too surprised if some PSG official turned up beaten in a sack in the Seine

It's called getting behind your team most teams tend to do it. I presume if you are at a match of the team you support you applaud the opposition.

Sorry just realised we're a few minutes behind. Thus the late posts! Pressed pause and said we'd flick on after apres match but brian kerr is just too entertaining. We dont want to miss a thing he says....

It was, but it was also a definite foul and definitely it penalty. The trademark Robben sniper shot really irritates me, but so does when people say a definite penalty wasn't one just because of a theatrical fall.

But he was on about the one where he ran into the back of the defender.

It isn't just Luiz though, all the Brazilian defenders went after the ball, standing beside Luiz. Someone needs to mark the edge of the box - same place that Khedira and Kroos scored from. Gustavo standing beside Luiz for the cross with noone around them.

Nobody is prepared for what might happen around the edge of the box.

Can any Dutch player realistically win top scorer? The opportunity could be on here.

Van Persie needs two more to go level with Hames Rodriguez. Robben needs three.

Oscar blew his load permanently by September 2013, will he ever recapture that form?

Robben on 3, Van Persie on 4 now thanks to the penalty. James Rodriguez current top goalscorer with 6

Brian is right, if only Robben knew how much his diving annoyed people he'd surely stop.

I'd love to know how PSG thought sideshow was worth £50m; the guy is a joke. He couldn't mark a letterbox. And is the crowd made up of refugees from a One Direction concert?

The game kicked off and they immediately booed every Dutch possession. That's quite unusual .

Kerr's commentary is almost as pewer as the game

It's like Brazil have intermittent flickers of skill which they can't sustain as a group.

Wish Kerr would go back to commentating like he did for the whole tournament. Just sounds incredibly daft tonight.

Brian Kerr has some stats in front of him and he's going to get through them all before this game is over.

No it's not. It happens all the time. I find the cheap picks at everything Brazil a bit sad to be honest. Mostly just because they don't have a very good current team.

Brazil are lucky they are not playing North Korea. They'd lose 20 nil

Noticed it in the semi final as well but Hollands final delivery into those advanced positions mainly kuyts but Schneider as well is appalling
