Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I wish all football commentary was as lighthearted as this.

Just switched over, yes, very bland on ITV. I disagree with the grand job by RTE fellas though. Too pointlessly shouty for my liking.

I think they're in a relaxed "Apres Match" mode. Leave them at it.

£50,000,000 for Luiz. You could have bought 763,941 Garth Brooks tickets for that.

I think Kerr thinks he has to act like the Apres lads in the studio. Switched to UTV for the first time this World Cup.

I can't take ITV any more! So bloody dull. I'll give the lads another chance!

Dont know whwt happened Brazil between group stages and 2nd round. Even though they werent playing great, they still looked lot more solid, theres zero protection from midfield since then.

Leave the comedy to Brian, Aiken.

David Luiz trying to set a world record for the number of times you can give the ball away in a match - B Kerr.

Did Kerr just reference the Leinster Senior League?

    "Right Said Fred"

I wish RTE replaced Ray "What he should have done was" Houghton with Brian Kerr. He's knowledgeable, insightful, and very funny.

  • Registered Users Posts: 226 ✭✭fearrua

Did Alkin just say Gustavo is blameless for the 7-1? He played the full 90 didn't he?

I thought he said Leicester instead of Leinster.

Difference there between the two teams the way Robben kept it in play.
Brazil wouldn't bother their arse keeping it in.

Part of it is that but the gaping openness about them isn't explained by that. Very poor teams keep it tight against very good teams all the time.

I think Scolari completely overrates his attacking players and plays so open that way.

Cillessen seems like the sort of keeper that'd give managers heart failure at times.

Two key things to take away from that first half:

1 - Luiz is an awful defender

2- Kerr has been on the sauce all day

    Kerr does seriously sound jarred.

I think the point he was making was that he is still in the team despite other players being changed after that match.

The whole thing is a piss-take obviously. No-one cares about this match - least of all Brazil.
