Formatting card for camera

I had a 16GB SDHC 10 card in DLSR. I took it out with the camera on and corrupted it. I want to put it in a Fuji point and shoot but get card error. I format it in the point and shoot but still get card error. Could i format in PC or is it beyond recovery?

You can format it in the PC, and then I would advise formatting it within the camera.

The card may be damaged. Depending on the make/model of the card, it may be fit for the bit, or else sent back to the maker or whoever you bought it from.
