    Just arrived home to Cork to see a huge plume of black smoke somewhere on the Northside - anyone know what it is ?

    I'm just waiting outside brown Thomas for a bus and in the last few minutes loads of sirens and flashing lights flying over the bridge towards that way :-/

    Saw something on twitter that the Ambassador Hotel has been evacuated due to fire.

    From the photos it looks much more like Shandon area.

    I saw it from the aircoach and it looked high up, maybe church field or could be standon but high Northside.

    It was just a house on Fairhill that's always on fire. The fire was just bigger this time.

    Might have been hard to believe it but there were 2 fires on the Northside of the city last night, The Ambassador, a small event by all accounts and a house fire in Fair hill, an abandoned one, nothing strange there.

    All guests return after ventilation in the Ambassador.

    Tyres were added to a fire in the garden of the abandoned house, not clear if the house was alight as well ~ ?
