Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If jumping in to a tackle with both feet off the ground is a red, even if you make contact with the ball first, than that should have been a red. The keeper also has a responsibility for the safety of the opposing player.

First duty of care is to himself, many coaches will tell you lead with the knee to protect yourself. If you jump straight up you're getting poleaxed. Llosa pulled out of a similar one in the first half, Romero came with his knee high too, should he have been sent off?

"That's what they are playing for"

And here was me thinking that the winner gets to host the two leftover Garth Brooks gigs.

If Scholes was playing he'd knock that World Cup off it's perch from 40 yards while taking a píss

Ah. Don't think Schurrle was expecting that ball to come back to him from that ricochet.

Messi looks shattered. Totally out of the game now.

Am I right in thinking that since both sides have won twice since 1970, that whoever wins tonight gets to keep the trophy?
or was that just a one off for Brazil?

Messi is so greedy. Should've played your man in. It's not all about you Lionel!

Messi has some gas left in the tank, wouldn't bet against him doing something special.

Argentina just need a half chance, otherwise this is going to penalties. Only one team wants to win it before penalties, Germany very negative.

Klose needs to go, no movement up front from him, fresh legs might swing it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 677 ✭✭✭vidor

Leaving Lavezzi on instead of Messi might have been the smarter move (that's if the former isn't injured).

    Both teams have tired considerably.

    2nd half isn't great

If Scholes was playing he'd knock that World Cup off it's perch from 40 yards while taking a píss

If Wayne Rooney was playing, he'd knock that World Cup off its perch if there was a 65 year old granny sitting behind it ;)

They changed that after Brazil lost the old one.

Music to the ears of anyone with a bet on Argentina. If there's one thing the football Gods hate, it's Internet users getting ahead of themselves on social media.
