Bank Drafts need to be lodged via a bank, so unless they have the same name but of course thats traceable back to them. Possible for them to do the usual cash it in a pub/shop but it would return to them. You need to report it lost and fill in an indemnity to get a new one. Depending on the bank its possible to report it lost over the phone 24/7.
