Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Its ten years ago now but what do people think of the nominees for each nation. Would any of the players be surpassed?

Funnily enough I named my former cat after Eusebio who oddly enough died exactly a year later on the same date.

I suppose the obvious one would be that there's a case for Cristiano Ronaldo being selected in place of Eusebio, although Eusebio is as iconic in Portugal as Bobby Moore is in England, for example, so that might not happen. The other obvious one imo is Zidane in place of Fontaine, but if there was something similar for the 75th anniversary I wonder if the FFF would hold his sending off in the WC final against him and not nominate him?

I see this list before and found Vasilis Hatzipanagis for Greece one of the more interesting choices, he never played a competitive game for Greece (due to previously representing USSR) while there are some other players who didnt play for thier country on the list due to it not being formed etc you would have thought there might be a more suitable choice for Greece (not that I know much about Greek football)

Also Nedved could probably be considered the Czech's best player now he has retired.
