Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think we're going to win today and Welbeck will score I can feel it in my waters.

What is the update on Ramsey actually? Think he will start?

He was in training yesterday so I'll imagine he'll be on the bench at least.

Don't agree with Sherwood on the DM position.
The same players were there last year when we got thumped.
However let's hope they have learned lessons and do their jobs with a bit more passion and aggression this season.

Ramsey and Welbeck start. Very strong looking team. No Toure too ☺

    Is it Arteta or Flamini?

Not gone on that starting line up, Ozil out wide Flamini, Wilshere and Ramsey central by the looks of it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,393 ✭✭✭Ed Winchester

    Flamini needs a MASSIVE game.

Many fans swearing by Arteta yet Wenger is starting Flamini it seems.
I can see Wilshere dropping back beside him or just ahead.
I'm a bit worried by that team too.

Yes I'm worried too not about the middle though about that left hand side ... Monreal and Ozil are going to get absolutely raped unless we control this game

Would of liked to see Ozil central and maybe Rosicky or Ox out on the left to help out with Zabaleta bombing forward. Buzzing for this match COYG!!!

The middle is my biggest worry.

Ozil should be playing centrally and one of either Ramsey or Wilshere should be on the bench imo.

Hopefully Wenger knows what he's doing today.

The left side has been our Achilles heel for a long time now.
Lots of speed going forward but lacking when defending.

Rosicky not even making the bench again ????
I wonder did he attempt to poison Wenger?

Monreal has probably been our best performer so far this season. Don't think ozil should be on the wing at all. Our midfield should be fairly alright though, especially with yaya out

Very happy that welbeck is starting up front

Hopefully Sanchez starts on the left with Wilshere on the right but I highly doubt thats the way we will line up. Wenger loves leaving himself wide open for criticism of his tactical knowledge.

Yep, 4141 looks like our formation.

nothing to do with the formation, i think it's wengers preference for two 10s in the team, so to do that they play with a false 11

I don't get this. He was lambasted for his tactics against top sides last season and hes quite clearly changed our formation to a more defensive one.

    PACE, MOVEMENT, WHAT IS THIS?

Been saying it for so long, we need to up our pressing when we don't have the ball and its working great so far.

Ramseys passing has been very poor this season. Masked by his couple of goals. Hope he hits form soon

    Surprise surprise.

Özil and monreal on the left... Aaaaannndd that's where city score from!! Poor decision from Wenger to have Özil on the left

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,426 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

    Our left side yet again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Flamini is not good enough to be starting for us

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 613 ✭✭✭Y2KBOS86

    Our left side yet again.

Our beloved Ozil should be on the bench, simple as that.

More balanced and tougher side without him.

    Stick OX on Wenger.

Ozil needs to do something now and stop hiding, hasn't scored in ages.

Playing more like Hleb than Dennis

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,428 ✭✭✭.jacksparrow.

In fairness to ozil him and Alexis switched ages ago.

But ozil has been poor again, loosing my patience with him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 258 ✭✭fulmer1984

We should be 3 up here. Poor finishing

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,940 ✭✭✭omega man

We really need to tighten up before the game is gone from another counter.

Have to say I love sanchez's commitment and attitude. Hope it rubs off on one or 2 others....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,456 ✭✭✭wonga77

Ozils shooting is poor, but at least he's having a go for a change

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,940 ✭✭✭omega man

What a different game it would be had Danny scored.

Confident we'll turn it around but city's tough tactics and their counter ability is a concern.

Flamini Off, Ox on. Ozil to #10. Losing anyways so might as well go for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,426 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

We are well in this but need to score soon.
Ozil and Ramsey's passing have been poor.
Sanchez has been brilliant. Jack is doing ok.

Actually amazing Ozil can be blamed for his defending down the left when playing down the right.

Really think he and Ramsey look quite sluggish today.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,940 ✭✭✭omega man

For all the stick Jack is getting lately he's been performing better than Aaron this season.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,428 ✭✭✭.jacksparrow.

I can't believe we gave flamini a 3 year deal when we signed him.

Hes playing better than 3 of our 5 midfielders today and still somehow gets abuse.

Cheap way out instead of signing a proper DM.

It will come back to haunt us again and again as the season progresses i fear.

Always a few players short. Story of Arsenal for the last few years.

This is so frustrating. We just can't seem to create chances and look shaky as fcuk when they break.

This is our best 11 bar LB against a not full strength city. Come on they started Lampard and Milner ffs
