Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think it was mentioned back in August but Wenger denied it since then, and so did Walcott over two weeks ago.

The thing is though that if you do even the easiest google search you immeadiately come across far more stories with Walcott saying he won't be back for Spurs and rubbishing the rumours you found.

I think you're being very biased and deliberately negative with your choice of what to post here.

Tayto I thought you hated the red tops! Why not just admit you were incorrect rather than post that rubbish?

Ha ha I posted someone else's link.
Also was there not another link of Walcott charging down a line at speed. Couldn't find that.
A lot of very touchy lads in here today, must be NLD nerves. :D

After such a serious injury I think we should give Walcott an extra month or so on top of his recovery time before he is brought back into the squad. I'm not expecting to see him back to his best until the new year and that's if he doesn't pick up niggly muscle injuries inbetween which we should expect after doing your cruciate in.

    +1

I also don't want him available for Hodgson either. Knowing our luck with injuries it'll be with the national team that he gets hurt again.

I think we should sell Walcott just in case he gets injured again. Sell him to Spurs. Should buy Chirches to replace him.

Delighted. Goal of the month from Jagielka, what a strike.

Even if Southampton, Chelsea, City and United all win now a win for us puts us up to third and 5 clear of Liverpool, 6 clear of Everton. Time to make a move and there can be no excuses after a week off for most of the team.

But tipperary hurling slightly edges it :)

Great sport to play but you can't even see the fúcking sliotar on TV. It's also too easy to score points in GAA which makes too predictable as the dominant team always wins.

Gaa football is sh1te, no skill involved in the game at all. Hurling is on a different planet.

I'm not touchy, I just don't believe that you went searching for a story about Walcott's return and found only the rumour and not the many rebuttals.

Google 'Walcott return spurs' and you'll see what I mean.

It's kind of hard to compare when we don't have info for other players in the league in the same position.

Like 80 for Ches might be great but not if De Gea is 87, as I'd rate Ches equal if not higher than De Gea.

Think Gibbs and Koscielny and Woj maybe are underrated and Santi probably overrated.

In terms of comparisons in the team (I don't know what other teams' players are at) I'd have Welbeck 1 down and Giroud 1 up. Cazorla I wouldn't rate quite as highly as that. Campbell's rating might as well be made up. :P Walcott could be a bit higher.

No no no, De Gea is the best in the league remember? For some reason. :P

Mignolet is rated higher than woj I think, which doesn't seem right.

Any word on the team for today?

Not as confident as some on here think we will win but not as easy as its being made out. They will be well up for this.

:pac: some tackle by Rooney there.

If I had to do a bet I'd probably just do a draw. Be disappointed with a draw though.

Ah ffs looks like Wenger has decided to stick Ozil back out on the wing :(.

Should have only played Ramsey OR Jack and left Ozil in the middle.

On current form I'd have Ramsey on the bench.
    4-3-3 maybe?

Maybe but still leaves Ozil playing out wide of the forward 3 I'd imagine which is not ideal thought after Ozil MOTM performance he might have reminded Wenger were he plays best.

Disapointed to see Sanchez out again, two league games in a row now

I was thinking Ozil Welbeck Chamberlain as the front 3.

    4-3-3 maybe?

A 4-3-3 and Sanchez on the bench?
Surely no matter what the circumstances, if we play 3 up front then Sanchez has to be one of them.

Nope. Looks like Wenger has stuck our best player back on the wing.

    Pathetic
Maybe but still leaves Ozil playing out wide of the forward 3 I'd imagine which is not ideal thought after Ozil MOTM performance he might have reminded Wenger were he plays best.
That'd mean Wenger going against his ethos and learning from his mistakes.

    Don't hold your breath.

Not much sense putting your marquee player out of his best position and your best striker on the bench but who am I to say.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,009 ✭✭✭kronsington

Was always going to happen wasn't it? Ozil back on the wing.. Let's just see how this game pans out. Hopefully things will be rosey (albeit temporarily rosey) here in two hours!

    3-2 Arsenal.. Danny the hero
