Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Yeah, me neither.
Ah he was good for a while.

Thats a terrible call by the assistant, the defending was shocking but hes clearly offside it not even close
Distance-wise it was close enough but there was no great player movement to excuse the poor call.

I don't think that offside call is a great tragedy to be honest, it was a tight call yes but sure the linesmen are supposed to give the benefit of teh doubt to the attacking player.

Ozil's attitude/body language screams that he'd rather be anywhere else. Shocking.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Anyone got anything positive to say about that goal?

    Yeah,
On a positive note at least we can realise we're not a championship challenging team and keep our hopes suitably low.

    Like in his favoured position?

Ah it was close enough in fairness. Offside but only marginally.

Shall we re-adjust our eyes to 4th place now so?

If we lose this Wenger will point to the offside goal and say how it killed us and not point to our own substandard display. There's time to turn it around but very very frustratin and disappointing so far

Theres benefit of the doubt and theres a wrong call, Naismith was a good bit off and hes looking in at it.

If I was an Arsenal fan I'd be fuming at that call, just before half time too is a kick in the nuts.

Why do Wenger and Low not play him in his favourite position.

Wilshire should be off right now, Giroud on, Ox and Sanchez on the wings and Ozil in the middle. Look absolutley clueless when the ball gets near the Everton box at the moment.

Close? You could of flew a boeing in between the gap of Naismith and our last man.

Offside? Perhaps. Foul? Perhaps. Playing sh!te? Definitely

I really don't think you'll see the best of Alexis up front on his own. Giroud has to come on.

Don't disagree and I'd be fuming too if it were my team but I think it was tight enough to fit into one of those calls in fairness.

No the linesman was perfectly placed to see it and some how doesn't.

Ask them? Mourinho played him in the number 10 and he ran the show.

I'd be tempted to get Ox off now but if making a halftime sub it'd be hard to not make it Wilshere. So frustrating watching the attacking, even Ramsey at one stage ran 40 yards with the ball and just stopped outside their box, waited for them to pack the box and re-organise. Ugh.

Can't complain, same old same old trying to pass the ball into the net. We deserve to be losing.

A soft under belly and the lack of a ruthless front man again show up arsenal. Wilshere is a nothing player when did he last have a decent game?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,205 ✭✭✭Lucas Hood

Get Wilshere off for Giroud. Let the Ox & Sanchez at them on the wings and Ozil in the middle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,342 ✭✭✭Bobby Baccala

Hoping that giroud can come on midway through the 2nd half and start pulling the strings, as mediocre as he can be, the team just doesnt look right without him in my opinion

    Yeah, me neither.

It's not like Ramsey, Ozil and co. have covered themselves in glory. I'm at a loss as to understand what's going on here. Very concerned for our season, particularly with such a massive game on Wednesday. Groundhog Day.

    I'm sick of 4th. Let's give 5th a try.

Wonderful support the team is getting on here.

This can be turned around. Enough talent out there to do it.

Might make the start to the league season a bit easier without that pesky CL qualifier to worry about.

It has to be, there's simply no excuses.

Goal was clearly off side too ffs. Of course wenger will blame the officials if we lose.

Anyway Get Ozil off the left, bring Giroud on now and Wilshire off.

Jaysus Arsenal haven't even arrived at the ground yet and you have us beaten.
We can beat Everton if our defence gets their act together. No worries.

    You were saying?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,617 ✭✭✭overpronator

This is what you get when you don't address any of your key weaknesses in the off season. So fooking frustrating.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,909 ✭✭✭Neeson

Wilshere is a fag smoker. He should stop.

It can, we just have to be more creative in the final third, playing well up to Evertons 18 yard box and then we go for the wrong option. So frustrating.

If the talent's there then what's the problem?

Have another look at it. It's very hard to see at full speed.

First things first, we're playing ****è, secondly the second goal was offside and thirdly I couldn't give a flying fúck if Ozil's not in his favoured position he should be getting back there no excuses!!

I was saying that you have a defeatist attitude.
We have been poor in the first half but its not over yet.
I prefer to judge on what happens on the pitch and not before the game has even started.

We're good enough to be winning yet we're losing 2-0. There's nothing in between those two things no?

    Sanchez off....jesus christ

    Sanchez off. Oh ffs

We played poorly, bad marking for the first and got ripped apart from the second even though there was a foul and an offside
