Why did JBL sound surprised that Steph was in the building. She was shown earlier on!

Me right after that Sting promo

    W0ltT1K.gif

The crowd booing the fact it's just for the game lol

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Music Moderators, Regional Midlands Moderators Posts: 24,155 Mod ✭✭✭✭Angron

Probably should have muted the crowd at the end there :P

    Did he appear?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Music Moderators, Regional Midlands Moderators Posts: 24,155 Mod ✭✭✭✭Angron

    Heyman fired, what?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

    Did he appear?

No. There was this amazing video package of a small orchestra playing his crow theme, he showed his face, the crowd popped, it was an ad for WWE 2K15 DLC, crowd booed.

    "Where'd you see him, Sonic?"

    WWE, masters of subtle advertising.

    "Boring" chants for Wyatt?

    That's a first.

So the promo was just for the Sting DLC, in all honesty except for the RAW after Money In The Bank every show has been mediocre since, besides Leo Kruger having one of the most buried gimmicks in recent times and Bo Dallas having no heat with his gimmick, they should be at least getting Ambrose, Rollins and Jericho right, even the Wyatt family is coming off as weak and repetitive at the moment.

yeah this is actually a bit of a chore to watch. Really need to step it up a bit.

    What a very strange feud.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,833 ✭✭✭shineon23

Cena tell Flair to keep the Big Gold Belt there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,012 ✭✭✭Kerplunk124

The big gold belt is no more lmao

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,689 ✭✭✭bur

Don't think its for keeps sadly, having two belts is SO dumb.

judging by that ending it looks like seth is actually injured.

Looks like they might be needing Plan C! Rollins didn't look comfortable there at all.

I dunno if anyone else on here has made this comparison before but has anyone ever thought Roman Reigns reminds them of a early-mid 90's Taker? Similar ring presence, charisma and how he executes certain movements. I would have never even copped it except I've been binging through late 97/98 Raws lately and it was the time when Kane was basically trying to mimic everything taker did with his mannerisms etc.

Anyways random observations aside I think some of you are giving a bit of a harsh judgement on this episode, its probably the beat episode of the last 3 weeks. I.C title feels slightly important which is better than normal. Logical ish stories for WWE standards, can't complain really

I thought they might try and promote the network a little bit. If it's struggling, surely mentioning it once or twice on Raw might help. I guess they have their integrity holding them back.

I'm so conflicted. On one hand the video promo for Sting in 2k15 was absolutely awesome. Paying respect to a true legend. On the other hand I just wanted to see him there! It would have been amazing! The crowd were actually pretty good, the reaction would have been amazing!

Was okish, decent matches; decent if not a bit rushed (inevitable) tying up of feuds before Sunday, just a standard raw before a non a-list PPV

Was debating between watching this and 24 last night. Think I took the right choice with 24, Raw is gone to the dogs.

The episode after Money in the Bank was pretty excellent to be far.

Fair play to the people here who can stay awake until 4am every monday watching this utter boring drivel.
I honestly dont know how you guys can do it week in week out.

Did a single story advance last night?

Strikes me if you missed last night show and saw last weeks as a go home show, you wouldn't have missed a single thing.....

If the news about Rollins is as bad as it sounds it's absolutely horrendous for him and WWE

Just seems to have a new exclusive every week which inevitably turns out to be wrong.

I presumed it was to establish "Plan B" was out the window, and so "Plan C" from Heyman has to be considered.

Though I worry with both Ambrose and Rollins "Injured", will their match be pushed back to Summerslam now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

I'm fine with that. It should be at Summerslam and a few more weeks of awesome promos/rants from Ambrose is something i'm perfectly ok with.

Anyway, we'll know soon enough if its legit or not.

I wouldn't trust Meltzer if he said the sky was blue.

I'll never understand the bizarre anti-Meltzer sentiment. Not trusting the most trustworthy source. Ok.

Anyway Rollins holds the secondary leg he lands on:

What's bizarre about it? He's been proven to be FOS before. Nothing against the man or his opinions on the business. I would simply question his agenda sometimes.

No journalist is infallible - that's a ridiculous expectation. He's hardly full of **** either.

He doesn't lie or make things up. If he is wrong he will correct/clarify.

I can only think of one thing he was wrong about all year, and he immediately called himself on it.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,089 ✭✭✭✭rovert

So anyway he Rollins grabs the opposite leg you would expect him to if it was a legit injury.

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 30,996 Mod ✭✭✭✭Insect Overlord

He injured the leg before he went over the ropes. Go back a few seconds before the clothesline.

    We'll know soon enough anyway.

As reported in the PWInsider.com Elite section:
*Bray Wyatt needed seven stitches to close the gash suffered when Ric Flair punched him in NYC. Wyatt's eye was blackened and swollen shut and WWE medical did a lot of work on it before Raw, draining it and using makeup so he could look presentable. Wyatt was said to be in good spirits about the entire thing as it was a scar Flair gave him in MSG. His attitude in general is really liked by the veterans of the locker room.

*Seth Rollins was 100% fine after Raw and the injury was completely scripted to remove him from the finish of the handicap match so the focus was on the competitors in the Battleground Fatal Four Way.

*Dean Ambrose had a bloody lip but beyond that he was fine following his beating on Raw. His hospital visit was just part of the show.

I (and my main man Meltzer) was right:

huh? thats kinda of worded weirdly :P
I assume you mean if it was a legit injury then he would be grabbing his other leg?

Wrestlers work the left arm and left leg. Rollins grabbed his right. This aint Mexico dude :p

Another note...Reigns has now ended 3 weeks in a row looking dominant and the likely winner....

....so can we all agree he doesn't stand a chance?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,836 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

So why was Miz always going on about Moneymaker? and then having a picture of Moneymaker all throughout his match? I've never met or seen Moneymaker but he did look familiar. This week's podcast will be torture with Moneymaker now having a big head after all the mentions he got on Raw.

Watching the Adam Rose bit just made me think of his NXT presentation skills video where I think he said something along the lines of how he's fed up of trying to entertain people and being a puppet.

I think that Sting promo was a good way to gauge a response anyway, since we've seen returns before where a good reaction was expected but didn't come to be.

Looking forward to seeing how AJ and Paige work in a proper match. Could become another Trish and Lita?

Ambrose not selling as much as he usually does this week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,227 ✭✭✭Ridley

I enjoyed that. Showcase of talent proving that they want to be IC champ.

Although I'm hoping that at Battleground Barrett will announce to the winner that the baaaad news is his being healthier than expected, elbow the guy and walk away still the champ. Then have a unification match with Sheamus at Summerslam.

Failing that, Cesaro wins and has a unification match with Sheamus at Summerslam.

Failing that, Bo Dallas wins and is more inspirational than ever.

Sad that the best part of this weeks Raw was Sting, and he didnt even show up
