Has anyone get a response from Irish Water after filling out their forms without the PPS numbers?

That's a good question? I doubt people will hear befor October 31st though.

Everyone is entitled to protest. The carryon of some of those protesting is nothing short of criminal. Those pulling safety barriers with force are a danger to themselves and to those trying to do their jobs.

Will they use water cannon on the protesters?

No legal mind here but I'd say no way.
If people are protesting peacefully even the mention of water cannon would lead to all out war country wide.

I got my píss pack in the door today, I've sent the píss pack back. I will drink my own píss before I pay for their píss. Because it's cleaner píss and I won't have to pay for dirty smelly píss from Irish water Píss. MMMMM, pííísssss.

So you are drinking your own then already I assume?

The response will be received when you get the first bill minus the allowances.

Its not Irish water. Fine Gael have a group of people who are members on Irish forums. Their main objective is to get into a discussion early to discredit the poster and to stop the thread getting traction.
Its a tactic certain Irish business's have been using.

What a load of nonsense. Dissenting opinion is not evidence of a political ploy. In the same way you couldn't look at the comment section of the Journal and assume Sinn Fein employed people to post on it. It's just the membership it happens to attract.

Everybody with any concern about their collecting PPSNs should contact Irish Water via their contact form. I got an email from them on this very question. This is what they have to say:-
Irish Water will announce to the public soon the charges that will apply to customers who do not respond to our request to complete an application. Irish Water will then issue a bill to the householder and we may not be able to give you the allowances available to you.

Hopefully the DPC's office will take account of public concern. Their contact details are readily available too. For what it's worth Irish Water are not registered with the Data Protection Commissioner. The DPC's office have said this:
We are in correspondence with Irish Water at present to determine their requirement if any to register with our Office.

    Taken from this News report:

"On the surface Iceland doesn’t seem in bad shape.
The statistics look reasonable, unemployment and inflation are low and the economy is growing again.
But a deeper examination reveals serious problems for ordinary people which restrict basic freedoms taken for granted elsewhere in the Europe.
The difficulties are so severe, it becomes clear that the notion that Iceland let its banks collapse and escaped unscathed is a fallacy.
When the crash happened the Icelandic krona plummeted by 77%, which made imports much more expensive. There has been a marginal recovery in the country’s currency but the effect of the collapse continues to make it much more difficult for ordinary people to be able to fill their shopping trolleys."

No 1.. That is some bloggers article.. So hardly reference..
No2. It still says economy's growing unemployment is low... So I'd still take what they've done any time.. No more corrupt people running the show anymore... And no one would in their right mind would think defaulting would not have some form of downfall..

It's very convenient how the high minded resistance to taxes and charges just happens to justify keeping money in people's pockets. I won't pay property tax because of Phil Hogan, I won't pay TV licence because of RTE salaries, I won't pay water charges because they want my PPS number etc. The law doesn't apply to me if I don't agree with it attitude. This is just plain greed and selfishness dressed up as spurious political argument.

And this renegade minority has the audacity to accuse the law abiding majority of being sheep and making it harder for them to escape as their numbers inevitably dwindle.

So, are you PS or semi-state?

You never told us, although you did ask about my personal circumstances and I did give you an answer.

Easy.. We say you are under arrest for fraud and whatever else... Then have banks work the way they were set up to do... Loan what they have and not invent money from fresh air...
Also tell any bank ceo's or government lackeys to stop lying with the scare tactics that the country would fall around our ears because we wouldn't save a "private" bank..

    Might have worked in 2002.
By 2008 the banks were swimming in debt and could in no way have survived without government intervention.

You know telling poor people they're greedy is a little like telling starving people they're too fat. Where do you get off?

Edit : Incidentally it's worth pointing out that I amongst others would support water being paid for from the public purse, by all means increase income tax by a tenner as that way it wont burden low income families as much. As it is a flat charge will be applied which is unfair. Only said it four times now...

Would you just agree with every new tax that screws you over just because it's a law?

If he's PS or semi state it's not 'screwing him over' it's paying his wages.

He agrees with everything and anything FG say, do, or introduce.

He even seen nothing wrong with Frank 'the fearless' Feighan physically assaulting a member of the public, in broad daylight, and on camera.

The law must be observed when DX agrees with it. Otherwise the law is an arse.

He's more like the rest of us than he realises. :p

Hey Mr Timber you well and truly underestimate the level of anger countrywide.
Climb out of your ivory tower will you.

Yeah police spraying protestors with water cannon would cause outrage.
    People are at tipping point.

Just to put any fears of a water fight to rest, Gardaí do not have a water cannon.

You obviously missed the irony in his post about the water cannon, but keep dreaming of riots in the streets and beheading the bourgeoisie on the guillotine as the little man overruns the elite in government and sets up a socialist Eutopia where only the "rich" pay for everything.

The video evidence is there for all to see.
Whether the pensioner presses charges or not is up to him.
On the radio this morning he said he'll drop it if feighan apologises in an honest manner.

Now, what feighan knows about honesty is a completely different thing. He is a blueshirt after all. Did you see all the lads wearing blue shirts in the clip? You'd think they'd know better...LOL!

So a person can't be a victim in a crime, assaulted, murdered, robbed or raped unless the perpetrators are arrested and charged first?

    What are you on about.

    More hogwash of course.

    Blah blah blah....

More interesting conversations to be had on here than this palaver.
