Cleaning drainage pipes in camper

    This year on holidays we noticed a musty smell coming from the press under our sink and on inspections realised that the waste trap and pipes have a brown residue on them from washing dishes etc. We bought thetford waste tank stuff but this seems to be more designed to reduce smells in the waste tank. Is it possible to just douse those pipes with bleachy water to remove residue or whats the best procedure for a good freshen up? Thanks for any advice.

    Boiling water in large volumes should move most of the scum.

    as above , with some Milton or similar in it , a bucket down each plughole.

    Would very dilute bleach be OK?

    It might be an idea to buy cheap orange juice and pour down all sinks just before a journey as the acid in the juice has a great knack of clearing and cleaning built up deposits and residue.
    Just an idea.
