What is the point of Sutil?

A safety car would screw Hamilton.

Not "screw" as in be unfair, but it would've left him needing another stop and having a lot of the field to overtake again.

Bothas will pit again I'd say, don't think those tyres will last.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,541 ✭✭✭Mike Litoris

At that pace Hamilton could make another pit stop.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,476 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

Wonder will Hamilton make his tyres last

He's faster than Alonso right now. Dunno if that means the tyres are alright or if he's pushing so he can make a stop then overtake Alonso.

    Nice Guttierez pass on Alonso...

Alonso overtaking by a sauber :O Ricarrdo and Button having a nice race

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,541 ✭✭✭Mike Litoris

Hamilton better not go Kamikaze on Bottas. :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,541 ✭✭✭Mike Litoris

Keep up the good work Ricciardo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,541 ✭✭✭Mike Litoris

I reckon Bottas will do it. Hamiltons left front looks wrecked.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,262 ✭✭✭✭Autosport

Alonso and Ricarrdo are at it again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,541 ✭✭✭Mike Litoris

Good stuff Alonso. Holy holy shít that's some racing.

Hamilton may not get another chance if Bottas gets into DRS behind the backmarkers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,262 ✭✭✭✭Autosport

I must say this has been a great race

Must say I don't get why they had such a short stint with Hamilton before this stint, I thought they would have tried to keep them roughly level. If they were covering off a safety car then I thought soft would've been better for a longish last stint.

Pity there was no rain or safety car near the end but a great race with some great battles

Watched all the support races and they were throwing safety cars out for all sorts of reasons. Yet a car is stuck out on the main straight and they don't put one out. Hmm seems like the organisers want a German driver to win.

Those f**kin manky Santander trophies make an appearance again.

Lewis could smile as I'm sure Alonso/Ricarrdo would be happy to be on the podium

    Who's this joker?

Good stuff Alonso. Holy holy shít that's some racing.

    His tyres certainly deserve credit.

Why is the German celeb interviewing the German driver in front of the German crowd at the German grand prix in English?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,719 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

English is the media language of the world. Lucky for us.

Are people still claiming that the Ferrari is a crap car?

One podium all season, despite two ex-world champion drivers? Yeah, something not right there...I suppose it's the drivers fault though yeah?

Good race, safety car or rain near the end would have shook things up nicely. Some good driving from Hamilton, the Button incident aside (though Button did look like he was leaving a ton of room, only to close the door). Alonso & Ricciardo battles were pure class.

Cars evolve over a season with a constant stream if updates. and their characteristics suit different circuits. Ferrari probably has the largest budget for development.

Are you saying the Ferrari car was crap at this race?

That doesn't change the fact that the team is under-performing. Enda Kenny is the 3rd highest paid politician in the EU...sometimes you don't get what you pay for.

By championship winning standards (ie how the judge themselves), they're a long way off where they want to be. So, yes, I am :)

The time gap to the Mercs is pretty much as big as it's been all season.
