Are we considering Di Maria a big hitter now FPL wise after a double fluke yesterday, scores when he tries to assist and assist when he tries to score:p

He looks like he'll have a massive effect on that united team but will he score enough goals to justify the price?

    Inflammatory post is inflammatory :pac:

He's on my radar but I'm giving Mata another week now anyway. Purely for consistency of starts rather than anything else he really needs to be considered.

    Wonder how much he'd cost?!

The max is 14m I think, so that.

I'm tempted to go with Mata ahead of him, I know there is a rotation risk which might nees to be watched but he will score way more goals.

Id agree if in the team mata is a far better option.

What makes you think there's a max a player can be? Rvp got over 14m 2 seasons back.

I think he means the starting price.

I've still never heard of there been a maximum price.

I read it on here a while back, think Rory said it. I'd imagine they'd put a max price so that the player would still be affordable. It'd be very hard trying to fit in a 15m or 16m player at the start of the season with the 100m team limit.

Henderson has been sure of his place all along, Kaboul less so.

I like Kaboul and he would be a very strong FPL player as he's very aggressive in the opposition box and is good with his head and feet in scoring positions.
However I don't think he'll keep his place with Fazio (Chiriches less so) waiting in the wings. Kaboul appears to have been quite poor against Sunderland.

Regulars on here will know that I have form when it comes to picking Spurs centre backs:p

    Club captain.

As a spurs fan, he'll be dropped within two weeks imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,605 ✭✭✭Fizman

I wouldn't be touching Kaboul. They're loaded with CBs and have just spent some decent cash on that Fazio lad as well who will surely be given a run soon.

Yes, once he's fit. He missed last night's game with tonsillitis.

Play Clyne or duff this weekend?

Duff, all day long for me

Same here, although I had to think about it.

    Major doubt in defense:

Neil Taylor (against southampton at Home) OR Duff (against sunderland at Home) ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,400 ✭✭✭GiftofGab

    So I have to pick 3 defenders out of the following;

    Clyne – Away to Swansea
    Azpil – Away to City
    Wilson – Away to QPR
Moreno – Away to West Ham
    Wisdom – Away to Spurs

Thinking of going for Clyne, Azpil and Wilson. Then benching Moreno and Wisdom.

I don't think City are as strong this season and Mourinho has a good record against top teams so I reckon Chelsea could keep a clean sheet.

    What do you guys think?

Moreno has too much attacking potential to bench. I would play him over Clyne.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,451 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Yeah Defence is a mess this week. I currently have....

Starting; Rafael (Lei a), Alderweirld (Swa a), Wilson (QPR a)
Bench: Taylor (Sou H), Moore (MU H).

Seems bizzare to keep the two home players on the bench. Right move?

I'd be playing Taylor ahead of Alderweireld. I have Taylor and i fancy Swansea to do well at home!

I also have 2 home defenders on the bench - Hutton and Duff. Think Duff could keep a clean sheet but just can't start him

    Krul or Mannone?

Horrible decision especially when you have Duff as well.

I'd play Mannone. Newcastle are very poor, and Hull have some good attacking options.

I'll have Van Aanholt playing against Duff, so a 0-0 would be amazing!

Those are the worst, although amazing when they come off (Krul and Hutton in GW2 was very nice). I'll have Bardsley and Rio in the early match tomorrow, so here's to a nice and boring 0-0.

The thing is if just one of them gets a clean sheet, and the other 2 points it's a pretty good result. 8 points from my 2 cheapest players would be good in my books!

0-0 would be just dandy alright, Newcastle are poor but home goalie as a rule no?

First thought was Mannone though especially with Ings missing.

LVG presser and he said my captain shall always play so it is Falcao v RVP for the other berth up top.

  • Registered Users Posts: 378 ✭✭bezuaua

Neil Taylor or Duff ??? will probably coin toss...

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,009 ✭✭✭kronsington

I have alderweirald and siggy. Not sure which to play. Or Both. They're up against each other. As are Azpil/fab/Costa v Aguero. Tricky week for sure

There has been 1 goal in Burnley games since half time in the Chelsea game 3 and a half games ago. So although they are looking solid they aren't looking like scoring ings is out also I'd defo start Mannone most likely 0 0 of the weekend for me.

You had me doubting myself aswell had to go and recheck the results. Burnley haven't scored a goal since that early Arfield goal against Chelsea. The match tomorrow will probably end up a 3 3 draw now ha

Start Siggy and Nasmith leaving out Henderson..don't like leaving Henderson out he's always capable of doing something but cant ignore the two guys at home.
Others on my team i cant leave out Di Maria, Sterling, Fabergas, Augero and Costa.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,088 ✭✭✭Nib

    Who should I play, lads?

Williams (SOU home), Wisdom (TOT away) or Azpi (MCI away).

Definitely starting Duff (SUN home) and van Aanholt (BUR away).

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,747 ✭✭✭Ziegler1988

    1. Williams 2. Azpi 3. Widsom
    in my opinion

Bib theory that had sterling dropped last week reckons Liverpool playing a diamond with sterling behind borini and Mario. Skrtle in for Sakho and lallana and Coutinho benched.
