I'm bit like Arsenal - slow starter :(

That's more like Leicester City form

Wow what you rank after Q2 must have been amazing!

    Surprisingly only 620.
I got up to a high of 210 by GW23 but have been dropping since then. Now 1018 but I need to pull a few green arrows to get back inside the top 1000.

Very good consistency. No quarter outside 100k, your OR must be pretty decent.

Busts is similarly solid, nothing over 150k I think.

My quarter 3 was spectacularly bad, only mr p was worse from those posted above I think. Not having Kane for his purple patch (BUIB Ugggh), and not really having Giroud or Silva did me in badly. I'm happy I've been able to recover from it at all.

Incidentally it's interesting that with that 600k q3 rank I only fell about 4,000 places from inside 1k to just outside 5k. Dropped further in GW31 before the recovery started. Shows the value of a good start.

Currently ranked 2.6k. Since gameweek 16 my OR has never gone higher than 5.7k or lower than 1.6k. Getting a bit boring at this stage!

Does anyone know how the knockout fixtures (gws 36 through 38) in a h2h league works? I'm assuming it's 1st vs 8th, 2nd vs 7th and so on.

Probably the right sort of ball park I would imagine thats purely speculation though. Presumably there are a fair few clauses in the deal I would have thought a minimum of £20m and a max of £30m-£35m if United went on to win a few titles or a CL etc and he was nominated for some individual awards.

Good article on FFS re Mourinhos sides performances and rotation after clinching titles. Terry was rested for the remaining games both times with Chelsea and on average they conceded more goals.

Making me consider getting shot of Terry now rather than Betrand.

Scratch that. Found this little gem in FFS Hot Topics......

Mourinho: "In this moment we breathe, I know that the players now deserve a couple of days without football, but we have to be back with professionalism til the end of the season."

On JT. "Him and Ivanovic have told me they want to play every game in the Premier league this season. So they don't want to belong to the players that i am going to change."

"Obviously I'm going to give a chance to some boys that didn't have many chances during the season, to play."

I am actually considering getting rid of him. My defence is in a relative bad shape (Coloccini, Alder with Saints not producing anything away now and home to Villa for their only game) so my main defender would be Sclupp !

Since I'm deliberately not taking care of price changes for a couple of weeks now (my high team value allows me this "privilege") I can't afford Kos or Mert unless I sell terry. And I'm not thinking it may not be such a bad idea...

I also have a terrible defence mainly for gw 38 but I won't be selling ivan as I think he will play all games like Terry so no point in getting rid of my one good defender. Azpil and Cahill I feel will get rotated I'm thinking of taking a punt on Zouma for gw 38.

Well what you're saying was my original idea.

    Then I had a read at FHFC (:P)'s article => http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2015/05/07/mourinho-before-and-after-the-crown-was-clinched/
Terry was benched for both precedents.

I think after the Chelsea match on Sunday, Terry mentioned about people thinking he couldnt play 2 games in a week and how he's proved them wrong. He's played every minute so far and seemed very proud of it, id say he would be annoyed to be dropped. It really is a great achievement for a player that age.

I would guess that Luis comes in for Azpi, and Zouma comes in for Cahill at the back

Yes playing every minute of every game in a season is a great achievement and I'm sure both Terry and ivan will want to do this as they are now so close. There are only 5 outfield players that can do it this season Terry ivan elmohamody Cresswell And Williams.

Ivan did get sent off against ManU, but I suppose it just shows up as 90 mins in the record books since it was added time. I'll be holding Terrivanovic and hoping for some fireworks.

I just looked up mins on the ff website and ye it shows up as 3150 mins for 5 outfield players. That's a sickener for Ivan as he didn't really play every minute. Just shows how difficult it is to achieve only 4 outfield players that can manage it now.

Don't know much about him, other than Wikipedia calling him a winger and news articles saying he is a forward. If he is as attacking as he has been I'd be hoping he'll be next year's Sanchez.

Think he played up front for PSV this season, on the wing for Holland in the world cup. Naturally a winger as far as I know.

The PSV technical director was on SSN about him this morning. Apparently a free kick specialist that has scored three free kicks this season.

Having had 3 players from a single team a lot this season (in one gameweek my whole team only consisted of players from just 4 separate teams with 3 treble ups and a double up) got me thinking - is there any team that you've never had a player from in your side at any stage? For me the only team I had never had was Palace. I suppose you could pretty much count Hull as I only ever had jakupovic for a few weeks as a non-playing goalkeeper.

    Great stuff, another poll:pac:
Where do you get that thing that tells you all your players again?
I know I had Nugent for two gameweeks but he never played for me, don't think I ever had a Leicester player, maybe no Hull either

I was certain i would never had any Stoke, Newcastle or Hull players but when I checked i had players from all 20. Had Begovic for 2 games which is probably the closest i get

Hmmm from that angle looks like really dodgy keeping. Seen a good few of his others and he can certainly hit them.

It was definitely poor goalkeeping. I just love the audacity of the guy to take in on from there. Reminds me of someone that used to do the same thing...

As the season is nearly over can I ask what were peoples best memories/ favourite points hauls etc? I'd say mine was Tom Heatons penalty save and subsequent clean sheet and three bonus, I think that was my only ever pealty save in fpl, 15 points when that kick would have meant only 2 was beautiful, I may have enjoyed that more than Benteke's dgw although the latter was themaking of my season.

I got that Heaton peno save as well as part of a monster GW with Haz(c) against Hull. I also really enjoyed the Austin(c) hat trick + Terry first 15 pointer GW as well.

Mine has to be GW10: sold Siggy and Sterling for Downing and Haz(c) for -4. Most people captained Costa (who I didn't own) against QPR and he delivered a glorious blank. Hazard penalty, Downing goal+assist, and Chambers' 18 point haul gave me a massive jump into the top 10k where I've been ever since.

Not sure of my best but my worst springs to mind instantly

Having Kane on the bench when he played Chelsea!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Worst, changing captain to Kane Vs Villa from Hazard Vs QPR at 11.29am

Kane did nothing, Hazard got a goal and bonus points. My lead was cut down by 40 points that gameweek.

Best - Agueros antics at the weekend. My closest opposition was closing in on me but didnt even have Aguero in his squad. I had him as captain. Should end his interest now. I am 70 clear. So barring the biggest collapse since Newcastle and Kevin Keegan, I should win that league.

I have also learned this season that every bit of tinkering I do on Saturday mornings actually costs me points.

This. This is my season. All decisions should be made, confirmed and left alone a good 30 minutes before deadline.

Especially when on your wildcard and it's a midweek game so you know some of the lineups :o

Best was getting Pelle right at the start of his early run before anyone else and captaining Aguero against Spurs for his 4 goals when many didn't.

In general getting my initial team pretty right on from the 1st week. Even if Austin did miss that penalty and then get injured. I saw his early potential

    Best: Aguero at the weekend.
Worst: Changing my January wildcard at 10 o'clock on a Saturday morning. I had Bellerin and Kane and ended up with Pelle and Adam Johnson somehow in my team.
I also missed out on captaining Costa for the Swansea match and his hat trick. Swansea supporter here in work had told me to captain him. I went with Hazard who didn't even get an assist I don't think!

Ah here, everybody pretty much had Aguero the weekend just gone, there must have been more pleasurable hauls during the year.
Although I know that your highlight was the giant killing of week 4, before I got my bearings:pac:
