Very impressive. Who's top dog for consistency in this parish?
I think its impossible to quantify that we have a lot of very consistent players.
Im at 149 in the FFS live hall of fame I was 347 last year they put a lot of scope on your most recent finish so mine being 1.6k jumped me up a fair bit. Im not sure I agree with how the work out the rankings I personally think all your finishes over the past 4-5 years should be weighted the same.
I checked the FSA premier league players and there is a lot of consistent players in there a good few with top 20k finishes each year over the last 4-5 years. Then there is the likes of swiper and fhfc with 2 good finishes in the 2 years they have played the game. That's just from the 20 players in the premier league there will be regular posters from outside those leagues with similar stats aswell.
    My stats are
    09/10 8k
    10/11 50k
    11/12 1.1k
    12/13 5.5k
    13/14 11.6k
    14/15 1.6k
I was in hospital for 3 weeks over xmas of that 2010 season with a burst appendix. For a fantasy football addict it came at the worst time possible. 5 gameweeks where I couldn't change my team.

I deliberately don't include my first season since I started it on GW11 (finished 7th in the GW11 league).
As I said several times lately, I'm particularly proud to have made the top10k this year. I feel it was a season where I could (should?) easily have finished 50k ± 10k.
Obviously I'd now like to get consistent top10k finishes and make my average a 4 digits number ;)..

It was my main aim this year to achieve a final rank at least nearly as good as my first year. I started that year with ZERO knowledge about the game so I wanted to see this year if finishing 8k was a fluke. I'm happy to have bettered it this year and being a bit of a perfectionist I'd like to keep my history nice and neat with hopefully no blow out 6 figure season.

Btw, Busts 50k with a burst appendix is not half bad I reckon!! Nowadays a decent mobile app avoids that problem. Thanks to Differential FPL I managed to make one of my worst transfers of this season in a field in Roscommon with one bar of 3G!! :D

This year in particular, you would see it the most. Top 20k has to be the aim for you.

I've been taking the game seriously for 3 years now and have gotten 3 top 20ks in that time (one top 5k). I think that's consistent enough. Would love to have one season that really sticks out though and hit the top 1k. That's my aim for next year, lofty as it might be.

Any idea when the 2015/2016 game will be live lads? Generally around mid-July isn't it, no?

Only 2 weeks tomorrow until the fixture list is out!

It varies. Hopefully we get it a good bit earlier than last year given the much earlier start date. Its not only the England team that need time to prepare!

Cheers lads. Aye, 8th of August we kick off this year. Only a week earlier but it feels much more than that.

    Looking ahead to next season:

Goalkeeper: Tony Pulis will have a full pre-season with West Brom and to me, that screams clean sheets. Just thinking out loud now but I think I'll be going Foster/Myhill (or if he doesn't get a new contract, whoever the 2nd choice is) as my goalkeeping combination, hopefully coming in at £8.5m though I could see them pushing Foster up to £5m. Even at £9m that's value IMO.

Defense: A Chelsea defender is going to be the #1 priority here anyway (say Terry at £7m). I'm thinking a double up on West Brom here with the GK (£5m max). van Aanholt is probably going to be value again for his attacking returns at £4.5m and if Sunderland get in a defensively minded manager then especially so. A cheap rotating pair (£9m) would be ideal to round off the defence at £26.5m, possibly £26m.

That gives a goalkeeper partnership and defense at £35m, so £65m to work with for midfield/strikers.

Midfield: Meh, no real need to think this one out. I'd be a bit worried about his Copa America exploits but midfield needs to contain a big 3 of Sanchez, Hazard and Silva. I'm thinking we're probably looking at £11.5m, £11m and £10m respectively there for a total of £32.5m. Take what you think is the best £4.5m prospect to sit on the bench, probably someone from one of the promoted sides plus say, Sigurdsson at £6.5m? That gives a midfield total of £43.5m.

Strikers: Aguero plus 2 more. At a guess he'll come in at £13m.

Just a mess around anyway and I know I'm over budget/not feasible with only £9m left for 2 striker spots. Copa America could be a bit of worry for the likes of Sanchez and Aguero at the start of the season too, so you could even downgrade Sanchez to a Cazorla (probably £8.5m) for a while, cheap out completely on defence either, there's a few ways around it.

I think you can already plan a solid-ish base.

Mourinho has already said that Cuadrado, Willian and Filipe Luis will miss the start of next season due to the Copa. It doesn't bear well for others.

Final is July 4th. That's only a month before the season kicks off. Not sure how long players normally get as a break (ie, if they aren't playing in a tournament) but would have assumed it's at least a month. Plus how long for pre-season - a month? So you could see how some players will miss at least a few weeks, especially if they get to the semis/final.

Usually 6 weeks off and 6 weeks pre season

I've thought all season they'd go for him in the Summer to be honest. With Barca having Messi and Suarez, you're looking at Aguero as the next viable Galactico alongside Ronnie.

Don't think he'd be a direct replacement for Benteke. Probably Sinclair that needs to be worried so I'd say mid based on that.

Agree on Walcott. He could be a great alternative for Sanchez who will probably miss a bit of time or not be playing full games at the start due to the Copa America. Probably will come in at around £8.5m too which is great value.

I knew Schalke had released him alright. Doesn't bode well for Schlupperman though as he's a LB with decent enough crossing and set-piece ability in his locker.
