Any Deals on Tents

Hi All,

I'm in the market for a new tent - 2, 3 or 4 man would suit. Doesn't have to be too posh - just to use for a few nights away with the kids. Did anyone see any good values ones lately.

I used this a few times last year and it was amazing. Still have it and am going to be cracking it out again soon.

Best to be safe with this one when you have kids staying in it, rather than cheaping out with a Dunnes festival tent for eg.

suggest you call to omeara camping in dublin. and haggle like hell. they will give you good advise as well( not connected in any way)
Also keep an eye out for aldi/lidl tents excellent value.

If you are going camping, get something with head height, also if 4 people going go for 5-6 person tent for gear / storage.

Charles camping in blessington, google it they are great for tents. I suggest anything you can stand up in. makes a big difference.

I have been camping for over 20 years, and know abit about tents, kids in tow etc. also advise been able to stand up. Argos do good deals, avoid tent packages from Hal***d*

Looking for a 4 man tent myself.any one know where I'd get a reasonable one in the dublin/meath/louth area? going camping this weekend with the kids, so online is out of the question.

Make sure the mm is 2000+ and has a sown in groundsheet the ones that have a sown in ground sheet around the front are best, on the look out myself, the best i have seen so far are on ebay.

sportsdirect have some as well just make sure it's 2000mm+ because if there is heavy rain you will be soaked..

We got an 8man vango from the UK from this site which was way cheaper than anywhere else.. excellent brands, and delivery wasn;t too bad (normal post was better than doing it by Parcel motel for some reason!!)... j r leisure

Always add 2 to the person. e.g. 4 person tent = "4 very small and narrow people who don;t move while sleeping tent"
