Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

so does sprinter scare,s;) I am seriously thinking of going in heavy on him if I can get 3/1 or 9/4 ish. I,m going to wait a few days til I hear naything more about his bleeding, although its hard to believe Henderson no matter what he says:rolleyes:

    Whose best price NRNB ??

Im still wary, he should have been able to beat that lot yesterday.

I filled my boots up and everytime I win money more is going on, 11/4 nrnb is a gift to tell the grandkids about. The plan is by 3.24pm on 11th March to have a warchest to crucify the bookies with...

Dodging Bullets ran 171 plus yesterday, Sprinter was 3 lengths off him after an easy ride, if Sprinter is 7lbs or more better in March he wins the race, no ifs ands or buts. Of course as he clearly wasn't fit he could well improve 14lbs and murder them like he normally does.

The other thing to consider is Du Grugy is crap and was lucky but I would be more worried about a horse with a leg coming back to his level.

After yesterday I am only worried about Dodging Bullets and Uxizandre who are both open to some improvement but can they run to 175 in March, possibly not.

As for Champagne Faller, he was about to get pissed on by big Don only he did a Nani.

Totesport, Betfred and Powers all 11/4, can't see it lasting.

Slatts, not a prayer he was even being sent out for his reappearence fit, he will slaughter them all when fit.

Henderson says he was easily 90% fit, and Geraghty said he felt fit too.

Now i know he'll improve a bit but he didnt look the same to me.

Still i might start going in on the 11/4 NRNB

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Shemale

Henderson said today that on the scales compared with other races he estimates he might have been 80% fit, not accurate but my own opinion was if he was 85% he would have won yesterday. Even if he is right with 90% fit, he ran around a 168 so 100% fit would be not far of 188.

Henderson also said he didn't blow up and it was more his legs got tired.

I don't trust a word that comes out of his mouth though.

It's very hard to gauge it with so many possibilities.
He might be lying. Could have been half fit and could and piss in at Cheltenham. And Nicky will get all the plaudits.

What price he's retired? I'd have a score on that quicker than the current odds to win.

Agree with all that. To many ifs and buts. Your head will be wrecked second guessing the updates or silence from seven barrows while having one eye on betfair. Then they will postpone to punchestown only for no show and retirementðŸ˜

Anyway, he has to pass dodging bullets and a few others at Cheltenham even if he makes it. I will take him on given his run yesterday didnt look like the aeroplane of old, he'll never hit that peak he reached again, throw in the nose bleed and long layoff, not for me but good luck with nrnb, if he wins you'll be well happy, but a horse coming back from a long layoff is not one I'd be dumping my festival bank on at 11\4. There will be better value in the other 26 races come march.

    Im gonna say it:

    Just you!

The Champion Hurdle looks a bit shallow on quality, Faugheen and Jezki look the only two stars in it.

Gold Cup looks shallow too, loads of question marks around, Holywell looks the one.

The World and Champion Chase could be excellent races and plenty of Mullins horses to get carried away with, looking forward to seeing Un De Sceaux blitz the bejaysus out of the Arkle field!!

The JLT looks crap, so the the AB and Neptune.
Supreme looks poor and Triumph looks worse.

Worst GC line up in history? Probably.

The handicaps is where the good racing is this year.

The JLT looks a cracking race at the moment, plenty of decent horses in it.

There could well be a decent horse or two we haven't see yet for the novice hurdles, generally the Triumph market has a springer this time of year.

Harsh on the Gold Cup, surely the year Synchronised won it was far worse with the declining Long Run and Giant Bolster within a couple of yards and a horse in the 150s only 10 lengths off the winner and a couple of failed chasers just behind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Yeah maybe Synchronised was worse alright actually!

JLT looks bad, take Vatour and Ptit Zig out and its a Grade 3 at best.

the nortons coin gold cup was dire, not just because he was a 100/1 winner, but it was just a dire field.barring the great desert orchid, it was like a class 4 handicap you would see at exeter

Lads watching Brasseye again, still brilliant. This is the drugs episode where they convinced celebrities there was a new drugs on the street called cake and got them to campaign against this "made up drug", they even got it into parliament, class, give it a look:

Do people still actually rate Sire De Grughy?? lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

I for one under rated him last year. He won fair and square. Interrupted prep and doesn't stike me as one to go back to back but he might not be far away if turning up fit on the day

I am absolutely rubbishing him in the Sprinter Sacre thread on the dark side.

He is a place lay for me if they all stand their ground.

Skybet have a "get your money back if your horse loses" offer today.

What does lose mean? Not finish first? Not finish in a place?

It's hardly just a free bet for everyone!?

Could be money back as a free bet.
    Check the terms and conditions.

Sporting Bet are ****, on oddschecker they have €50 for new customers, they will give you a free bet up to €50, matching your first bet, if you bet loses and it has to be at least 1.5.

Was going to open an account stick €50 on UDS today and use the free €50 for UDS for the Arkle.

Had to make my own "free bet", had a nice bet on him for the Arkle and put enough on him today to win enough to cover the Arkle bet.

Can't wait, this could be the best three horse race ever!

I just looked at the field for the Arkle.
Sweet jesus its the worst I can remember. UDS looks a good thing

Just had a few quid on Mc Coy to ride over 300 winners this season at 20/1, I am reckoning on all his training pals doing their best to let him retire with a bang.
