Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why don't Irish handicap races have a Class system shown for each race like in the UK? It's so much easier to figure out if a horse is contesting a grade higher or lower both on the flat and jumps by quickly looking at the race name as the Class 4 etc is boldly displayed for all to see rather than in Ireland where you have to look at the small print to see if it's for 47-65 rated handicappers etc? Would be a very easy fix if someone in the industry would get it implemented.

    I often wondered that myself.

What price did AOB's 5 times pay yesterday?

I'll be honest, it did cross my mind to put 4 down and leave out the maiden.

Well when it comes to copying in relation to horse racing they copied most of the things from us.we were first to have bookie shops, first to have racing stalls, first to use the white on black numbers on the horses,( or black numbers on white,I can never remember) I,m sure we were first in many other respects of horse racing too.

I have €107 to collect from Mr power tomorrow,a large chunk of it will be reinvested on jumeirah glory in the 4.00 haydock.I will probably double it up also with el viento in the 4.55 Redcar.

And first to introduce the white flag man which they copied post the national that never was back in the 90's. Anyway, titling races using Class 1-7 is one thing we should copy from them. It would bring clarity for the punter and I'm all for clarity.

Hate that, there's only 1 thing for it, keep going now, get a bit to eat around lunch time and then collapse on the sofa for the evening.

Tempted myself but I'll give it another week or 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

The ground has gone nasty so I reckon we are in for some daft winners over the week ahead. Staying well clear of the ggs.

Going to have an interest in Louis Ooustheizen at whistling straights at 125/1 ew4 places. He is playing well and there is a possibility of posting low scores on this course, he has major form , likes links style courses and with 7 shots to bridge, it's possible. A lot of others near the top of the table outside the top 3 will fall away tomorrow. Speith looks primed for a big finish at 3 off the lead but at 9/2, I'm willing to try the long shot ew instead.
