How often do you get asked to verify your details for online accounts? Just curious if any of you have been asked when logging in

Usually have to do it once once you go over a certain threshold, I think bet365 posted out a letter.

Home from Lanzarote tomorrow. A week sure goes by fast.
It was meant to be a relaxing break but I've hit the sauce hard every night. The Guinness is terrible. Dying to get home for a proper one.

Some craic about the town after the match last night! Mental!

Picked up a litre bottle of Laphroaig for 45 bucks in duty free.
It won't last long, my favourite scotch ever. Great value. Would cost about 80e here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

I have never tasted a scotch. My father in law drinks it and loves it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 473 ✭✭magicmoves

Laphroaig is the dog bollocks :)

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,014 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

I'm not really a fan of Scotch myself, I have a couple of bottles of Johnnie Walker Black Label at home that are unopened, I'm more a Jameson man myself.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

I go through 1 bottle of whiskey a month. Generally 10 scotch and 2 Irish, namely Green Spot.

Of those 10 scotch I'd say 6 are Laphroaigs. An unbelievable palate experience. Def recommended to any one. Probably the most unique scotch ever produced.

I don't tend to be a big drinker at home, if I'm drinking I'll probably have a couple of bottles of beer (not a fan of cans) or maybe a whiskey, my whiskey of choice would be the Jameson 18 year old, I normally pick it up in duty free when I'm going anywhere

Why is Jameson one of the more expensive whiskeys when it is made locally? It is a nice whiskey but can be pricey.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,014 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Probably cause they want to keep some kind of value around their brand or something, I've a bottle of Powers in the press as well just for hot whiskeys, I wouldn't waste Jameson on that, even though they are very similar whiskeys.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Irish whiskey just doesnt do it for me. Extremely bland compared to a good scotch.

Redbreast/Midleton/Green & Yellow Spot about the only ones i'd buy or get on a night out. (yet to buy a Midleton mind = €€€€€€)

Treated myself to a 18 year old bottle of Laphroaig. Excellent taste but pricey. Going to try the Laphroaig Quater Cask next.

12.37 on a Friday afternoon and I now really really really want a nice whiskey

My groomsmen got me the 18 year old for my wedding. Its glorious. Probably my fav now as i hadnt tasted it before.

Im not overly fond the the QC, i'd prefer the 10 year old, but thats just me.
