Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was at the dentist a while back and he offered to do repair work which wasn't urgent (replacing a cap with a crown). F me , 3 temp caps , 2 crowns, 9 visits later all for the same tooth. Note to self, if it's not broken, don't fix it.

I must get a crown and was quoted 650 for one. Crazy money. Might go up to the north to get it done or Poland:)

I would have paid anything to bring me back in time and leave the old cap there. 9 visits, drilling, 6 visits I had injections to numb the tooth, all for 1 crown ( they put on one but it was wrong colour and was banging against my lower teeth, I looked like jaws from James Bond movie, and had to break and replace it).. I'm changing dentist

Imagine putting up and horse, it loses, then saying you backed the winner. DH

Anyone recommending people to remortgage houses etc in an early season bottom of the run flat handicap on soft going needs a chat with themselves or else is laying the bejeeezus out of the horse

I'm not great with handicaps so I stay well clear most of time. Prefer the graded action

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

I never watched the first series. I don't think it was shown on TV over here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

First season was good. Last nights kick off of season 2 was ok. I guess it will pick up as it develops. I did the walking dead house at universal for Halloween a couple yrs back, scared the bejaysus out of me :)

    McGregor retired.

    One word:
    FRAUD

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

    Why was he a fraud?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    Fighting bums.

One hiding and he retires = fraud.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

He stepped up two weight divisions and got beaten after throwing everything he had at Diaz. That's not a fraud.

As regards this retirement talk, looks like a power struggle. Time will tell I guess

Ground gone against Air Force Blue at Newmarket. Has to be a good bet there somewhere. Galileo Gold possibly or even Herald the Dawn at 33.

Dunno if you heard him the other day "followed by....... em...... errr.... the others", ffs.

Always have to be wary cheering a horse he is calling as the winner, incase you get Dessied by the bookie.

Was calling Yorkhill Bellshill for the the first mile of the race the other day, also called Regal Encore something else today, can't remember what it was. Him and Tony O'Hehir are unbelievably ****. The UK commentators **** all over us a bit of new blood wouldn't go amiss!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Richard Pugh should get far more opportunities.

Unreal, think he was calling him Noble Emperor for the whole race. Yeah, not sure where it is coming from.

Really disenfranchised with Irish Racing and RTE, those colours winning plenty of races, Ted rabbling about bad huge stewarding decisions that have had to be overturned, piss poor commentary and Piggot.

He makes a point of calling home every finisher. I asked him why and he stated for owners/trainers who might not have many runners, he feels it important out of respect to them regardless of where they finish.

How some of the others are clinging to their jobs is bewildering. I suspect they are on contracts which have no end date and can do what they like. Forget which one, sounds like he couldn't give two when he's commentating on a grp 1. He's about as enthusiastic as a corpse being laid to rest. O hanlon is good, enthusiastic in the commentary and sounds interested in his job
