    Evening folks.
Just curious to see if anybody had much satisfaction dealing with Parcel2Go? I used them once before, no problems.

However, I booked another parcel on Thursday and when it wasn't collected on the Friday, I spoke through their Live Chat to find out that a technical error on their website resulted in the parcel not actually being booked in. I felt like I was talking to a machine because when I complained about the error and the fact their system emailed me five times throughout the day into the wee hours of the morning about insurance I just kept getting an apology. In the end, they pointed to their T&Cs and said they don't guarantee collections and if it's not collected re-book and tough (tough, of course, being my words!).

So we re-booked. No sign of it being collected today, I popped onto their chat and spoke with another person. That person went off to find out and about 10mins later came back and said it would be collected by 5.30pm. At 6.30pm, I spoke with their Live Chat again to identify why it wasn't collected as promised and I have been told that I will need to re-book again and.

It's incredibly frustrating that you pay for a next-day collection and when it doesn't get collected it's tough. It's poor customer service and poor service all around, I feel. The number on their website doesn't actually work ('Number no longer in service' according to the telecom). The only way you can contact them is through Live Chat and it's a different person each time.

The courier I selected delivers here a lot and it's the same guy each time. He is in my area around lunchtime most days so I had an idea it wasn't going to be collected. I called them and they couldn't help as the tracking number P2G gives isn't a valid tracking number for them.

Are there any other companies out there similar to P2G that are more reliable or am I better just asking each courier direct for a price?

I used to use them to send some car parts off to the uk, however after they forgot to collect a parcel one day (no phone call and I was left hanging around) I said feck this. Did a bit of looking around and went with parcel motel. 16 euro shipping up to 10 kg to the uk! Nothing wrong with that.
Log on, put in address of who your sending it to, print it of, drive to your nearest motel and scan it in and throw it in the locker.
No waiting around for couriers to arrive (and being made a fool of to your customer).

That's the courier I went with via P2G.

Yeah, might be an idea when I am shipping out again. Thanks :)

Item collected by courier this morning. Oddly, the track and trace is showing it won't be delivered until Friday even though it's a next day delivery service I paid for! I'm assuming it's a mistake on the P2G website.

Sent a parcel to France with P2G via TNT. Told it would be 48 hour service. Collected on the 15/07/14 arrived 22/07/14 ONE WEEK. TNT misrouted the parcel twice in France. They told my customer it would be delivered 21st the man stayed home all day and no one arrived. He called TNT and was told it never left the depot. Finally delivered at 3pm 22nd. I had to fully refund the customer. On Live Chat I was offered €10 prepaid, I will not use this service again. I asked for a phone number to speak to someone - no number, no e-mail JUST live chat. PayPal will not refund as this was a service. I would not recommend using either TNT or P2G
Live Chat is like the personality of a dial tone.
An Post or going direct via Nightline, DHL - it might cost more but they have a better service attitude.

They are a bunch of muppets. They collected the parcel. It was marked fragile and my wife told them it's heavy and fragile, once they left my house they dropped it. When it arrived to the destination it was broken. I've insured the goods but when I made a complaint they told me to fob off. Does someone has an Irish registered address so I can open a small claims court because they keep sending me an English address.

    Regards

They do not have an operation address in Ireland. If you find who done the delivery I.e TNT DHL or whoever, then go after them directly using their tracking number, you should have this on the original label you get two a P2G and the real carrier. You maybe limited to the claim as there is a box you tick when you order the service that accepts the terms and conditions. P2G are like a broker, they have no vehicles, no trained operations nothing only the website.

The European Consumer Centre Network is an EU wide organisation which specialises in consumer complaints outside your home country. As I understand it you can still take out a SCC claim here and it will be enforced in the UK, but I suggest you contact the Irish ECC office on how best to deal with your complaint. It might not need to go to the SCC.

My parcel was collected and delivered the next day according to the P2G website tracking, which still shows estimated delivery as Friday last. I've emailed the client to confirm as I never got a tracking number from Fastway as both myself and the driver didn't know what the two stickers were for that he had (we assumed one was for the box and the other may have been because it was re-booked).

P2G seem to be the middle man. They get the customers and pass them onto the courier. It comes with €50 standard insurance but you can pay to insure more. There is no number to contact them but they are active on Facebook and Live Chat. Doesn't appear to be any Irish staff judging by the names of the staff working so I assume it's based overseas.

Why not contact, and deal with, couriers like Fastway, DHL, DPD, etc directly and cut out Parcel2Go ?

I will in future anyway. It's handy to have a mini-man that compares pricing for you and allows you to pick. Like we have for the accommodation industry with Booking.com, trivago, etc.

Yes, I avoid those booking websites as well - I get much better deals conacting hotels directly.

If you book it through Parcel2go, then your contract is with them.

DHL, UPS or whoever will not entertain you as they were contracted by P2G, not the sender.
