Slightly early on the tackle there, no?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

That would've been an unbelievably good try.

Looks like the French LH is driving up to me.

Would have been harsh I think.

    Clear obstruction there.

Boom what a line beat these playing like that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Poor form from the ref. give him the minute and keep quiet.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,632 ✭✭✭ssaye2

    Pressure now nice

What a try by Fitzgerald. Really enjoying this match.

Backs look pretty handy. If only the scrum steadied a bit.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

Almost disappointed with that pen, wanted to see what they'd do off that scrum in the 22

    Byrne looks massive.

Inverted him and made no effort to bring him back safely. Stonewall yellow and, at this age group, I was thinking it may have even been more.

    Nice kick again

Think it would've been a harsh yellow but he was clearly trying to tip him.

Very encouraging half, there's some electric pace and creativity out wide, big ball carriers up front and a very classy 10 to run the show. Main concern has to be set piece, give the backs a platform and they'll cause mayhem

Not to mention that the whistle had long gone.

TMO wasn't very clear in his description either. Just said it was reckless which could mean anything.

Super first half, two good teams running hard at each other and plenty of skill on display. Some excellent place kicking from our 10...

Not poor from referee at all. You have 90 seconds from when the try is scored to take a conversion and a minute for penalty to take the kick. Good for the referee to tell the kicker. Who you rather referee said nothing and then blew up to say the time was up and kick couldn't be taking?

No IMO. Decision was correct - just about

Good win for Scotland over Wales at this grade. Good win for them considering they were well beaten in France last week. A win for Ireland will leave us as the only team with 2 wins.

    Excellent
Dardis try converted by Byrne again

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

Holy shít, is this one of our best U20 teams ever? It's like they can do whatever they want when the ball goes wide

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,231 ✭✭✭A-Train

Another good try, great team try! First time seeing Ross Byrne play, looks some prospect.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,166 ✭✭✭✭Zzippy

    Lovely!

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,806 ✭✭✭corny

Its rare to see a senior side this controlled in attack never mind an U20 team. Another brilliantly worked score.

It's Byrne. He's a cut above everyone else on the pitch.

Well in fairness I think it's more he's playing the most influential and demanding position, the likes of Ringrose and Fitzgerald and a number of other Irish and French players look like serious prospects too

    Good defensive scrum
    Pity penalty after

  • Registered Users Posts: 470 ✭✭Blackheath

    What is the score

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,883 ✭✭✭shuffol

That was a joke of a penalty.
