Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've been lucky enough to be given a loan of one of these for the summer and would love some advice.

I've been using it as advised and find the coffee nice enough, but I like Americano coffee with cold milk, rather than latte style coffee.

Is there a way of making Americano style coffee in it, or is there a type of pods I need to be using?

    Thanks for any advice

    Hi There

Are you asking how to make a cup of black coffee with more volume (liquid)?

You have of course realised that you don't have to use the separate milk frother when making coffee, just pour cold milk in when the black coffee is finished?

Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick here?

no I get that I can add cold milk, its just that it seems to make such a small amount of coffee from one pod. It would barely make half a mug when milk was added.

I'm pressing the larger cup button on the top but it doesn't seem to make much difference

    Ok just checking ;)

I am pretty sure you can change the volume on them (as I have one) but can't remember how to do it. Do you have the instructions?

    Maybe google them?

I've been googling but can't see anything, don't have the instructions unfortunately.

I've just been adding boiling water to the espresso but it just seems a bit of a faff!

If you hold the button in it'll keep sending water through the pod.

It'll remember how long you pressed it so the next time you only need to press it once.

A warning though it'll be a watered down espresso but I guess that's what you're after?

Thanks for that, I'm just testing it out at the minute. So I guess that I'll soon find out if I like it or not!!

Great to be able to try it out without buying first:D

If you insist on making regular cups of coffee (mostly water, topped up with milk)? I would advise that you use lungo specific pods. Espresso pods will not have the same consistency. These machines are not made for that kind of recipe, but can produce similar if you wish. They are intended for espressos, lungos, cappuccinos, lattes etc...

I believe Nespresso have developed a new machine for the American market that would work better for you.
