very encouraging first half, steming from great passing and domination by our midfield 3. Herrara looks like the player we have needed since scholes, a midfielder who actually wants the ball.

Very enjoyable half. Really liking Herrera though he's rushing the odd pass. Shaw needs to express himself a bit more I think but overall can have no complaints, the system is nice to watch and working very well with the help of some bad defending yes but some great attacking too.

On Herrera, It's so nice to see a midfielder in a Man Utd shirt showing for the ball so frequently and using it so well. He has a bit of bite too.

Galaxy have had a few very poor individual errors which gifted us a couple of goals but for the first game together this has been very refreshing to watch.

Herrera and Mata have linked up really well. It looks like Mata is playing almost a free role around midfield and behind the front two. Not much play going to Rooney and he looks a little bit isolated where he is.

I want to see 45 mins of Kagawa in the 2nd half!

Have the 3 boys at the back enough football in them to play this system?

I'd have my doubts, I think united will have to buy one or two centre backs and a top defensive midfielder to protect them.

Other than that I'd be very happy with Herrera and Mata playing in tandem through the middle. Rafael and Shaw would have the legs for wing-backs though cover, for LB especially, isn't there at the moment as everybody knows.

Kagawa is playing deeper than Herrera. Kagawa and Cleverley in the midfield and Herrera in Mata role.
