Following on from our last party in earlier this month when Slowburn and Mark Clancy completely rinsed the sweat off the walls of Pacinos cellar, we are absolutely delighted to present People’s Republic man and Basic Grooves label boss Shane Lenihan to take over the controls at our next monthly party in Pacinos on Friday 1 August.

On support duties for the night we are also delighted to welcome aboard Bang The Box honcho Al Murphy (Yodisko) as well as newcomer and music enthusiast extraordinaire Vampyre Cyclist Ensemble.

Expect to hear and boogie to a stellar blend of tightly mixed house, disco and techno and a surprise or two with a serious filter for quality. As always in Pacinos cellar we kick off the night at midnight and boogie till dawn – just be aware that doors strictly close at 2:30am sharp so make sure you’re down well before then to avoid serious disappointment, which none of us want now. Door tax is only a tenner and if you are and/or look young please bring ID as this is a strictly over 21s venue. Rinse on! ☺

And now a little bit about our DJs for the night below:

Shane Linehan (Basic Grooves / POGO / Cork)

Arriving on the scene in the mid 2000s, cutting his teeth spinning on pirate radio and running gigs in Cork and Limerick, Shane Linehan is today an established DJ and an almost established producer. Learning his trade through the lost art of warming up, Shane has played support to some of the worlds heaviest hitters including Jeff Mills, Prosumer, Ame, Franck Roger, Jeremy Underground Paris, and many more and today holds a residency at POGO at The Twisted Pepper in Dublin.

As well as a skilled warm-up DJ Shane has also played headline slots at Wetyourself (Fabric Room One), Dimensions Festival and Electric Picnic (Body & Soul). In 2011 Shane established his own record label Basic Grooves Recordings - which has gained international support. He has also released records on Local Talk Records and Wetyourself Recordings. Al Murphy (Bang The Box / Yodisko)

Bank The Box founder and Ireland's official No 1 Prince fan Al Murphy produces house music under his YoDisko moniker and has released music on his own label Bump Academy, Digifunk Recordings, CleanHouse Records and Groove Baby. When he’s not busy putting out quality jams Al can usually be found at the controls of many a set of turntables around the city with a strict emphasis on party and the funkier side of raw house music. Vampyre Cycliste Ensemble (debut)

Newcomer Richard is a friend to all horses big and small. His life has revolved around three things – drumming, collecting music and bike racing. Richard’s musical life was forged when he took up jazz percussion at the age of 6. This percussive exploration lasted until he fell in love with early electronic music. His musical tastes vary anywhere from 1950’s jazz, klezmer, disco, African tribal percussion to classic Detroit techno/ house.
