Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

iPad Mini - worth it?

Thinking about buying an iPad mini (not retina) and just wondering if it's worth it at this stage of its life cycle.

I really just want it for reading, browsing and streaming, but I'd like it to perform with the next version of iOS...

    What do to think?

I wouldn't. It's woefully underpowered and can just about run iOS 7. It can run iOS 8 but the new design style of iOS 7 (thin fonts etc.) is meant for a retina screen.

Stretch for the retina one if you can, it's my favourite iOS device I've ever owned.

Thanks for that. I'll hold out and get the retina one so. :)

I have iPad4 (first full size iPad with lightning connector) and iPad Mini Retina. The Mini is a joy to use and the old iPad seems too big and heavy now.

Definitely would get a retina over a standard Mini.

Yeah looks like the retina one it is.

Was thinking about the Nexus 7, but I prefer the mini's size and OS.

But more saving to do so!

Retina would be a huge advantage especially for reading. Check out the refurb store if your looking to save a bit on one.
