Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Surprised there hasn't been a thread created on this, but remarkably the Irish u19's women's team are one game against the Netherlands, from securing a spot in the finals of the European Championships.

They've already beaten the English, Spanish and the Swedish in their march to the semi's.

There is highlights footage available from rte:
    http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/international/2014/0721/632233-ireland-u19-women-reach-euro-semis/

Cracking free kick in the 80 min from Meghan Connolly secured the win.

Hopefully they can continue their form and achieve something special over the coming days.

I read up on them today alright. Seem a decent bunch, would like to see a bit more attention giving than oh look they made it to a final wahey (that's more to do with women's in general as i can kinda understand it a bit with underage) it's it was a lads teams they would have been in more reports for not getting as far imo.

I agree 100%, I only realised they'd made the semi final when I read a report online. It's a fantastic achievement and should be treated as such.

Extratime had been reporting it on facebook so had been following it passively. Fantastic achievement, be great if they could go all the way.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

It warmed my heart seeing this thread! :) I've just been following the results but they did fantastically well in the group stages. They can hold their heads high.
