    Why have they never done this? Can you imagine putting together a team something like this?

    What fun!

    Alas I fear it may have something to do with getting everyone paid. Presumably SM or Soccerwiki have some deal with the national PFAs or FAs to ensure the players get paid. Retired and brownbread players may proivde a different challenge!

    That's more like it. Bert Trautmann. Wasn't he the goalie who played on in the cup final despite having a broken neck or back or both arms and legs chopped off or someting?

    The very same. A former German Paratrooper who was captured in England during the war. He was such a fine goalie though that he managed to win over even the Jewish community!

    A Manchester City hero. I'm not even a City fan!!
